Hi Tiffany brides,

I think I’ve seen this on the blog before. But I just purchased 200 tiffany bags on ioffer for 120.00 that included shipping .50 per bag! :P The size of the bags are the smaller bags 5×3x6 but the great size put your favors in and set on the table. The seller is Style Bonanza listed under iOfferLite. I hope this help some of you that’s looking for favor bags at great price. I didn’t even try to negotiate because I thought the price was very reasonable.

I am having a Tiffany Blue/Chocolate Brown wedding on 6/28/2008 and am wanting to know if someone can tell me where they obtained their submersible light from.
Also was wondering if someone knew where I could obtain tiffany blue or aqua paper napkins and dessert plates from as I was going to use them for the cake table.

There is also a wrapping paper that you can use to cover the boxes. I am afraid that I cannot paint that well. THE BOXES SHOWN HERE LOOK GREAT!

Loleta,
I actually just bought 3 different size cake boxes which can be found in any craft store or Party City (pretty cheap too ranging from 70-40 cents each) I spray painted the boxes using Robins Egg from Michaels (Thanks to Danielle I was able to find) and then the white ribbon to finish it off. The only thing with spray painting is that you just have to have major patience and take your time painting them so the paint doesn’t run. So once the paint is dry you just stack them and tie the ribbon around. I purchased the bow on top separately just because I thought it would be prettier than me trying to tie it.

Ericka- CONGRATS!!

Okay, ladies, I have been away for awhile, but I am back and need to get into the grove of things. I had been planning BEFORE being “officially engaged.”

WELL - this past weekend I became “officially engaged.” It’s almost like a fairy-tale story. Just think being whisked off to NY City for a weekend and a wedding proposal (on bended knee) on stage in front of a sold-out crowd at Radio Music City Hall. I was told we were going to a concert to see one of my favorite artists (we are from Ohio). He surprised me with back-stage passes and a complete surprise of the artist introducing him and bringing him to the mic. I was astonished to say the least. He even presented the ring in the Tiffany Box. He decorated our room with Tiffany Colored Rose Petals, etc. Another keepsake is the glass Tiffany and Company Box filled with faux diamonds and a music cd that he made for me - it is filled with songs related to marriage. The cd cover was done in Tiffany Blue and titled “Volume I: The Proposal Will You Marry Me?” He says there will be a total of III Volumes in this process.

Super-exciting! I just returned home and to work and I am so much on cloud nine that I don’t know what day it is.

So - back to Tiffany - I have ordered some of the bags and while in New York I purchased the most splendid bolt of satin fabric in the EXACT TIFFANY COLOR. I will have the overlays for the reception tables made - rather than ordered/rented. I also purchased gift boxes and yards of ribbon (white and tiffany) at the best prices.

You have to be careful about the color because I have seen way too many variations of the color. It isn’t blue actually.

Can someone help with BrideMaids dresses? What about the Davinci dresses mentioned by Tyra. Can I see a picture, please? Also, I’m like Cecilia - does anyone know where to buy the dresses pictured on this site?

Bee: I would be interested in your boxes when you’re done with them.

I hope I didn’t bore you all too much with my story - but I am still floating and had to share :P

I know I have plenty of time but I want to get everything done and organized. Thanks for all the great ideas it has been a tremendous help. I really like the idea of the boxes and the crystals. All of the pictures are really nice. Keep sharing ideas and websites. Has anyone found any really cheap chair covers?

I know my mother was concerned about the height of the boxes, she wanted to make sure everybody can see evrything. But I was not about to change it. I will be completly fine. My wedding is June 14th 2008. Time is flying and kind of nervous. But a very good job Rhonda

I bought my 2×2x2 boxes from http://www.sophiesfavors.com . The color code is aqua blue and you can get a free color sample set of what they supply for free or you can also pay for differnt things as well but the color sample set gives you a great varity of ribbon, stickers, the favor boxes, and tags without spending money.

Hey, Tyra. I don’t think the dress pictures came through. I can see the STD card - too cute.

Who bought the 2″x2″ Tiffany Box for favors. I have discovered tooooo many sites with them for sale (THEY DON’T SAY T&C), but how can you be sure of the color. I am looking for the ones that match the bags as close as possible. If anyone has their boxes, please let me know where they came from and what “color code, etc.” they are.

I may be interested in purchasing the larger boxes as I cannot seem to find them either. Can you upload a picture.

I don’t plan on having a wedding planner involved through all of the DIY process and research, but I do plan to have one the day of the event. I have met with a girl here in my hometown and I like her alot.

Good Luck to Everyone - You all have me excited for you

Tyra: Are you using the bags or the boxes for the favors?:P

Hi Erika,

I found Viola on E-bay.god I love e-bay. It’s Von Lindern Design Studio store. She rocks!! She’s doing my favors too. Can you just imagine the little Tiffany bags smelling like Tiffany perfume! I can’t wait.

I designed my own std cards I used a picture of a Tiffany Box &
infused in the picture of my e-ring with our information around it. I’ll try to attach a picture but the last time it didn’t come across too clear.

My bridesmaids dresses are from Davinci bridal If you see the 2 pics the first one is of the actual dresses and the 2nd one is of the color..it’s called irredecent taffeta the picture doesn’t do it justice. It brings out different colors depending on what light it’s in..it looks platinum..a hint a hint of Tiffany blue in certain lights. The bouquets will be cream and pink calla lillies wrapped in Tiffany blue ribbon.

Hello All!
My wedding approaching now (May 31) and I am using Stacked Tiffany boxes as centerpieces. The sizes are:
10×10x6
8×8x6
6×6x6
I found spray paint at Wal Mart and sprayed them.
If anyone is interested in buying them, then you can email me @ bsingleton25@aol.com. I have about 30 sets of them and will have no use for them after May 31!
I have a friend tieing ribbon around them now, but I will take pics today and post them tomorrow.

What did some of you ladies use for save the date cards? Any ideas?

I didn’t buy the boxes last night. I am still holding out to find the tiffany and company 2″x2″ box. Tyra (and Anyone) do you know where to find this size box with the lid? I also need larger boxes - like the centerpiece ones that someone else on this site used.

So what BM dresses are you all using? Are they tiffany color?

Thanks, Ya’ll.

If anyone is looking for custom stationary ie. menu cards, table numbers, or place cards etc. I found this awesome lady through e-bay. Everything she does is custom made. She duplicated my monogram from my invitation tag to coordinate all of the stationary using the Tiffany Blue color. I ordered 100 menu cards, 20 table numbers, 100 place cards and 100 favor tags for $100 and $8.95 shipping that is the best deal I’ve seen for custom work..I’m too excited right now.

Ericka- you can use a sticker with your info printed on them to cover up the mis-printed name and date… if you got a white, or silver they would look fine… I wouldn’t try to find a tiffany blue to match because getting the shades exact would probably be close to impossible… I think silver or white would look nice and make sure to do a dark ink, probably black. just try it on one first and see if it looks ok… I guess the choice is do you buy them for the deal and problem solve later… or just order your own…

Question for Everyone: Does anyone have any idea what to do with the boxes that have the wrong date etched on the top of them? I would buy them (on ebay-ending today), but I have been wrecking my brain about what I can do with them. I need some ideas - the price is so right.

Annie,

I am guessing you are talking about the vases being to thin. They have a pretty heavy base. We bought the white frosted vases and are placing white sand just to be sure they wont get knocked over. You can put water in them also to steady if you want. We have very large 8 - 12 person round tables so they shouldnt get knocked over (I hope). I am slightly worried about them getting knocked over, but i think guests should realize the problem that could happen and be careful. I made sure to only place them on the large round tables, I am not putting them at the head table because I know my bridal party and we get very clumsy when we drink. I dont think they will fall in you place them at a large table.

I am having a local florist friend do my flowers, Golden Carriage in Dover PA.

I emailed you the sellers info from ioffer. I think she still has a bunch of bags left. Again, I do really like the quality. I’m using them to place my guest favors in. I do love the size after all…at first I was scared they were going to be too big for favors but I think they are perfect!!!

It’s going to be so cool to see all of the pretty Tiffany bags at each place setting. My FI was even impressed with the purchase and he’s never impressed with me and my love of Tiffany.

My wedding is in 89 days..08.02.08. I can’t wait. Also, a comment on the pic you found Lucy..from below of the place card holder. It is cute. I had my FI make little wood cubes that I sanded down and he put little slits on the top to hold the name cards. I plan on painting them Tiffany blue and putting little white bows on them. It was nice to see the pic though that it has been done using the gift box idea.

You can even email me the name at luchielle1@yahoo.com. I need more so please share the information. AND they are coming from China. I hope they are okay.

I also bought the gift bag sets with the box, bag, pouch, care card and polishing cloth. I am going to buy jewelry for the attendants and put them in the gift bags.

What are you using your bags for?

I placed a bid on 144 votive candles in a sheer (glass) holder on ebay. It’s $50. Is that reasonable.

Hey, Ladies!

I am new to the site and am amazed at the ideas and creativity that you all have. I am sure your weddings will be simply spectacular.

I took the advice of one bride here and bought the actual tiffany bags from ioffer.com. I haven’t received them yet, but cannot wait until they get here.

My wedding isn’t until 5-09 so I have a chance to learn alot from you all.

Does anyone have any tips on WEDDING DRESSES? This seems to be my most challenging issue thus far.

I think I am using tiffany blue with silver and black. What do you all think about using it with red (my favorite color, and my husand-to-be loves it b/c it’s his fraternity color). I think it is sharp, but I don’t want to be overwhelming.

We are having a church wedding/ceremony and a reception at a really unique restored/renovated library with a ballroom for cocktail hour and a tent for dinner and dancing.

Danielle: PLEASE share. How do are you staying within $7,500. Ideas, please :D

Lucy: What is the box with the paperweight medium diamond? Can you post a picture or link?

Margaret: Thanks for the advice on efavormart :D

Have you used the Fabulous Events people before? I was wondering if you or anyone you know have used them before and were satified. I am afraid of ordering from there and not getting what I thought or not gettting them in time. Please let me know if you have any testimonials. Thanks,
Adrienne

Tara,

I bought my favors at http://www.sophiesfavors.com. It is a 2×2x2 favor box with a white ribbon, and small tag. I put hershey kisses and hershey hugs in the box for my silver.

There are plenty of pictures mixed in the comments here on this page. I would check it out. You can also google tiffany blue wedding and get loads of pages with ideas. also http://www.knot.com can show you brides that have done the tiffany blue theme. good luck!

Ericka,

I bought them and had them printed at the same place. Efavormart Be careful to review everything when you place an order bc they do not refund on items that are personalized if you mess it up. The site is strange too, because the emblems that you can choose are different depending on which item you are ordering. For example, if you order the double hearts for the boxes it looks like the one shown on my boxes. But, if you order the double hearts for the personalized napkins, then the hearts are different. They have an arrow shooting through it. Just be very careful when you are ordering from them and make sure to click on the View More Images to make sure you are keeping with your emblem them if you choose one.

Mikina,

Just thought of this. If Calla Lillies are her style, and she loves the effel Tower vases you may want to try the suggestion this site makes and go with a paris flair. You can find giant ostrich feathers online, and add some long stemed calla lillies in with them. I dont know if you can find colored ostrich feather but you can try.

Aqua Goes to Paris
Take this flamboyant theme (perfect for bridal showers, too) for a spin by arranging giant ostrich feathers in tall Eiffel vases and scattering marabou feathers plus rose petals down your tables. The perfect boutonnière: a white rose, a few marabou feathers and a shiny aqua ribbon. Très chic!

OR

Use the vases with Turquoise feathers and white Calla Lillies. The feathers i found on this website are only 4-6″ long but they could be incorperated in a centerpiece with the Calla Lilles to give the aqua/pool look without stressing over finding the pool color flowers.

http://www.save-on-crafts.com/feathers2.html

Basically you would make bouquets with the calla lillies, the feathers and greens in a white bouquet holder (you find at a craft store) with a streight holder stick, make them up and then slip them in the top of the eiffel tower vases.

Hope these suggestions help! I know it can be stressful my wedding is in less then 2 weeks. If you have any questions, you can email me mrohrbaugh@verizon.net

Mikina - your florist should be able to get any type of flower in that color for you. you can even take a white rose and get it your blue color, they just spray paint them. that is what i’m doing

Does anyone have any ideas for guest favors with the tiffany blue, white and silver colors?

Mikina,

Finding pool color flowers will be quite difficult indeed but not impossible. Try http://www.theknot.com/keywords/sc_150_527.shtml

At the knot you can view 1,000 of pictures of flowers, different color, different kinds, centerpeices, bouquets etc. I loved this site and it helped me alot thru my wedding, I really suggest this for you to help with ideas.

The only pool color flower I know of is blue hydrangeas. Most likely you will need to add another color for the flowers or you could do just white flowers in the vases with a lot of green fern. Since the wedding is about a month or so away, it could be difficult to get what you need if you dont have a florist but not impossible. Good luck!

Hi Ladies. I am selling some boxes that I was going to use as favor boxes, unfortunately I had them printed with the wrong date. They can still be used if you place a nice label over the top of the box. Perhaps you can make labels with your own names on it. This is a great buy for any bride on a budget. Check out my auction on ebay. Item number: 300220488047

Hello,
My bridesmaids dresses and main color is an aqua blue called tropic. It is a few shades darker than the Tiffany blue. I am having a hard time choosing colors to go with it. I have contemplated yellow, pink, fushia, and peach. It’s a spring wedding so I thought about doing a bright mixture of wild flowers of all different colors. Is there any colors that definitely DO NOT go? Just curious what everyone thinks.
Thank You

Ladies, my wedding is July 14, 2008 and I need HELP. I am currently stationed in Iraq and have been doing ALL of my planning from here. I have postponed this TWICE due to multiple deployments but this time it will happen no matter what.

My colors are tiffany blue, white and silver. I found the tiffany box centerpiece with flowers on several websites but have been unable to find the boxes. I have been searching on line for 3 weeks for the tiffany boxes for my centerpieces but I can not find them anywhere. I have been to a few of the websites (per previous comments) but I still can not find the 2 piece boxes. I have ordered aqua wrapping paper as an alternative please help!
Also, if you have any suggestions on what flowers would look best (color and type) that would be great. I will arrive home just in time for the wedding so I have to do everything online.

ok..here’s the second guessing coming out..Do you think I should sit the actual bags up on the table..on the silver charger etc..cuz I don’t want it to take away from the awesome centerpieces..(mazanita branches w/ orchids..and calla lillies) So should they go on the table setting or on each chair..maybe on the seat or hanging on each chair. I have silver chivari chairs w/ a tiff blue satin sash..the pad is silver. My linen is the gunmetal grey w/ silver and tiff blue circles..the other tables just have solid platinum satin. I think the arrangments might end up tall enough to be seen over the bags but I don’t want to overwhelm the tables either. They won’t be up there the whole time..Geez I’m rambling it’s 12:30 and I’m not sleeping.

Also, i offer is awesome..I had a ebay fight the other day for my Jimmy Choo shoes..I won!! That bridezilla didn’t know who she was messing w/ Tiffany Brides don’t play around!

Today is 99 days so now I’m in double digits now.Yikes

That’ll be great, those bags are going to look really substantial on the tables, you have to take pics! (I just saw pics of an OTT tiff blue wedding where each chair was set with a monster tiff-style gift box, bigger than the seat — maybe there was a free baby in each box?, but I disgress)

I would just maybe put some inexpensive shred or packing tissue in the bags so the 2×2 boxes ‘float’ near the top and people don’t have to fish for them down at the bottom, it’ll look stylish (I know, another thing to buy, right?) Maybe try papermart (link), they are very cheap for this stuff

It’s gonna be cool! I can’t wait to see because I don’t think I’ve seen place settings with the actual tiff bags yet.

Hey Dawn, Do you think of these measurments…I can’t find a ruler! Each Bag measures 5″ front(side to side) x 3″ side(front to back) x 6″ high(bottom to top) Would that do ok for guest favors? I already have the fake blue boxes to go inside. I hope they work cuz I just bought 80 more for .50 each.

Awesome Tyra! :D>- I know it’s frustrating to wait, but the prices are so good there, and the sellers mostly seem willing to deal. Plus, when I found you could get something ‘aftermarket’ like this NOT on ebay I was excited, cuz I’ve had a little trouble with ebay sellers lately.

Please let me know how you make out!

And anyone else buying actual tiff bags there, be SURE to check the dimensions because each listing is different and some of the bags are small (like for favors), others larger like for OOT bags and the size isn’t always front-and-center.

Annie,

I am using 24″ tall white eiffel tower vases with a round flower bouquet that slips in the top of the vase. This website was great and it was the cheapest place I could find for these vases. The company was so easy to work with and I belive the freight was $15.00 but i live in PA so it was more because this seller was in CA. They have all different sizes 18″, 20″, 28″, and it gives you a nice height off the table. We are putting some white sand in our vases to steady them a little on the tables.

Flowers & Supplies Glass Eiffel Vases

My florist is using one of those white bouquet holders with the streight holder piece to make the center piece. Then you just slip the flower in the top of the vase and it goes together perfectly. He made the centerpiece just like he would a bouquet. I may have pics on my camera from the trial centerpiece. I am using carnations, babies breath, and this feathery fern. I figured people will remember the vases and the colors but they wont really remember what flowers were used because they are so high up. You could easily use fake flowers for these type of center pieces and would be a great DIY project if you are really crafty.

i’m not sure what kind of centerpieces you are using but for us. I am using some tall vases with floral arrangements and the short vases on other tables with floral arrangement. But for the most part we are using fake and really flowers mixed.. it definitely cuts down on the price and still looks good..
I hope this helps..

Kisha, lucky you, there’s tons of inspiration out there for red & aqua! Here’s a sampler to get you started!

red & aqua weddings

Top to bottom, L to R: 1) A small but sweet inspiration board by Tastefully Entertaining: a really crisp Martha look (which leans heavily on Queen Marth herself). 2) Another small but intriguing board that builds elements around a GORGEOUS! Asian invitation. At Velvet Rabbit Studios. 3 & 4) Last two pics, from a chic & beachy "vintage Mexican" board by the always-readworthy Snippet & Ink.

Row two: 1) modern paisly invite by Wedding Paper Divas. 2) "My Red & Aqua Girlie Gathering" by Mrs. Gardenia .. great pics of her bridal luncheon. 3) Unmissable compilation of red/aqua ideas by Mrs. Lime, who had a red & aqua wedding. Even better, see Mrs. Lime’s real-world results starting here. 4) Gorgeous pic of a red/aqua ceremony from TheNest.

Row three: This whole row is from Thryn & Gabe’s aqua, red & chocolate brown wedding, on flickr. The details and photography that captured them are unbelievable.

In my opinion choc brown is a great grounding color for red & aqua, but my personal favorite and very 2008 would be steel gray!

Hope that helps, post any other cool ideas you find! :D>-

Jamie, that is so easy and the results will look GREAT. Once you find your boxes, just decorate to taste (with any ribbons, rhinestone buckles, etc.), and line with a waterproof plastic. Use double-sided tape to attach the lining securely to the box and snip off the lining just below the box rims, once you have it all arranged.

Then cut a square of floral foam just a little smaller than the box. You want “Oasis” foam which you can get at any craft store, and you need to presoak it; this lets you keep your roses fresh for much longer than going bare.

Place the foam in the box, strip your roses of thorns and leaves and cut the stems off to about 2 or 3″ (depending on the depth of your foam). After you do the first one the process will be a snap, and look fantastic. Try to get a tiny bit of variety in those roses, too; e.g. if you’re going with basically white roses, work in a little cream or some lightly blushed roses to add depth to the look.

I’m going with DB style pool colored dresses for my bridesmaids but instead of the crisp white or black or silver I’m p[airing them with big bright bouquets of gerbera daisies in assorted colors. It’s a late May wedding so I wanted lots of color. The linens and everything else will be white I guess. The dresses and flowers pack enough punch on their own. Also, my centerpieces are going to be simple glasses vases filled with daisies (and maybe some white roses) and simple little tealights scattered around them.

The center pieces will be 16” roung mirrors will a small square glass vase filled with white tea & spray roses (our florist is lining the inside of the vase(s) with green leaves from the rose(s) stems so that you do not see the inside of the vase(s)). Then we are placing 5 small votive candles around the center pieces.

Db is a big store chain, I would do to their website and find a store near you. They have a lot of “pool” color dresses in the store you can buy in all sizes, if you cant find it in that store they do look for it on the shelf in other stores for a transfer if you need. DB is great to work with. My BM’s bought their dresses there in Pool and they ordered 1 weekend and all the dresses were in the next weekend. I think you can now order of the website now so I would defently check it out.

Hi Lucy,

I have 2 different centerpieces. The first style is a manzanita branch that I weighted in a sqare silver planter my florist is wiring cream and hot pink orchids to the branches then I’m adding hanging votive holders w/ Tiffany blue water? (I hope) w/ a floating candle. The second arrangement is a 24″ fluted trumpet vase with bear grass and cream orchid submerged in the vase filled w/ water. I ordered submersible aqua lights to make the vase glow Tiffany! Out of the top of the vase will be bear grass and cream calla lillies sprouting out of the top. I’ll try to attach my linen swatch for you to see. I don’t know how well the swatch will show up but it’s gunmetal grey/silver w/ stiched teal circles and silver circles. I’m doing the arrangements half and half on the guests tables..the other tables will be solid platinum w/ a sheer organza silver overlay.

Tasha, I want to wear a floor length dress with some silver or crystal in the front of the dress because it is my 25th anniversary. What do you think white is okay? My two daughters are my bridemaids and they are wearing short tiffany blue dress. I am planing to have an outdoor ceremony. I want my reception with silver linens and silver chair sashes with three different sizes of vases with different kind of pink. In my cocktail hour I want tiffany blue linens with some pink accents . I am having a different centerpiece for the cocktail hour tables. I am going to order my cake in tiffany blue the square type with a beautiful silver (with stones) linen. I saw it at BBJlinens. What are you doing for decoration and color.

Hi Abby I have also thought about trying to find an orange table runner to separte the colors. I think that would really make the blue pop.

I also love the cake picture that is attached. I was thinking instead of brown stripes to use blue.

I came across this arrangement this weekend as well. I think my thing is that I need to just stop looking. Sept. will be here quicker than I know it.

Hi LaKeisha -

You sound like you have some really great ideas. Your blue and white striped candle holders sound like they will make a nice accent on your table. Since you are trying to incorporate the peach color - why don’t you try to find a light peach colored candle to go in the candle holder. You said you are using aqua linen - so I think this will contrast very nicely. Just some thoughts…

Elizabeth & Monique- The lady doing my cake is Clara w/ Clara’s Designer Cakes in Maryland. A lot of other bakers wouldn’t even try it..one lady said she would do it for $15 a serving..no way I was paying that. I ended up ordering 80 servings..not everyone eats cake there are 72 individual boxes and then the 6×6 at the top for the bridal party. Everyone told me the idea w/ too labor intensive but I wouldn’t give up. I searched for pictures of mini Tiffany box cakes and then I randomly came upon that picture I don’t remember what site it came from only that it was from the uk.

Hi LaKeisha,
just to drive you even crazier (okay, hope not), I think your peach & aqua idea are unbeatable together, and of course I keep thinking of that Brides.com photo we’ve all seen a million times that combine them, with aqua linens and a semi-transparent peach overlay, with a final result to die for.

Now, I know that those are top-of-the-line linens that you can’t always order up at your local event rental place, but IF you could find them, or someone kind enough to sew together some simple overlays or table runners along those lines, I’m confident it would look STUNNING under your aqua candles.

If your candle holders are aqua and white, I would use yellow candles. I would place a mirror between the linens and candle holder. to break the color up If you want to break up the blue, accent your table with some square votive holder (dollar store) and slice real lemons (round) and place around the inside edge (all 4 sides) and place a white votive inside. This will give some contrast. You can also through some yellow petals on the table with diamond accent stones.

LaKeisha,

I think both ideas sound great. If you want to go with your first idea, I would maybe add a peach or orange ribbon around the candleholders, to provide a a small spash of accent color contrast between the candle sticks and the aqua linen. I would probably not use a peach linen since aqua is your main color.

The floating flowers sound great as well. Good luck!

Someone please save me from myself.

I have so many ideas going thread and I can’t make up my mind. My wedding colors are aqua and white. I was thinking of using orange or peach as an accent. My dilemma is I already purchased candleholders that are aqua blue and white striped. how do you think they will look on the aqua linen ( I don;t think it will pop) so I thought about using peach for the linen color and then incorporate some organge rose petals. But does that take away from the main wedding color which was aqua.

my second idea was to use the blue linen and then purchase glass bowls and fill with an orange or peach floating flower and surrond the bowl with white votive candles.

I am going to drive the fiance crazy with my ideas. LOL.

Lucy,

I am making the menu cards for each guest shown in the martha Stewart wedding. These will be sitting in front of a white fan folded napkin. The only hard part I found was cutting the paper to the size I needed but the rest is so easy.

I was not impressed by the bright coral color but that is only my opinion. I felt it gave a cabana feel, and I am having a classic traditional wedding and i felt the color wouldnt fit. Although I am using hot pink flowers in my reception flowers, since they will be 24″ high in the air the florist wanted the flowers to really catch your eye when you walk in the room.

Here is a pic of what my cake is going to look like..except my ribbon is going all the way around the boxes. Except mine is 7 layers high..and the top layer is 6×6 for us to cut. I had to special order the cake stand. It took me forever to find a baker to do it! But, I didn’t give up. The whole wedding isn’t covered in Tiffany blue so the cake is the show stopper!

My wedding is May 10th 2008 so I only have a month to go. :P I am using the same accent colors ( tiffany blue, white, silver) as you but I have also added champane roses ( very pale pink) to my bouquet and my bridesmaids will have 4 champane roses as their bouquet. At my reception I am having 24″ eiffel tower vases on all the tables with white and hot pink carnations, babies breath and green feather furn.

If pink isnt your color, you could add nice light yellow flower to add some color or those green orchids are very nice. Dont worry my florist said the same thing about just having all white flowers for everything. Good luck!

Inside I made them look like a real passport and put a small picture of the bridesmaid and then inside every page had a picture of us throughout the years. I put different friendship quotes and fun stuff to let them know I really appreciate our friendship. They all loved them. Since I know most of the bridesmaids for years I had lot’s of pictures. My fiancee did all the art work you see outside and I did like the mini scrapbooking passport inside. I thought it was a fun idea that was very inexpensive and everyone can do.

We will have a 6×6 cake made for the topper and then purchased 5 dozen petit fours to go along the other tiers. The total cost for our cake and the petit fours $185.00. I actually got a really good deal on my cordial glasses, I bought them from Gordman’s for $3.99 a set. Each set includes four glasses that are different shapes and sizes.

I decided to create my own by having glass cut the sizes I needed and using eifel towers for the base for a fountain and then stacking each tier up with small cordial cocktail glasses…Total cost was about $60.00…

Hi Ladies,

For those who are doing the stacked boxes. Are you using them on each reception table. I have about 10 tables and this weekend I was out and purchased some aqua blue and white candle holders about 8 large and 10 small ones. I was thinking of putting two candles on each table along with white and aqua blue rose petals and the stacked boxes on every other table. Any thoughts. I want the decor to look nice but I am also trying to stay in reasonable budget, I don’t want the tables to look like they are missing anything.

Thanks in advance for the advice and feedback

Hi Guys! I hope I answer all of your questions…let me know if I missed anyone…

Niece - the bouquets were actually purchased in downtown Los Angeles. I had looked online but they were quite expensive and through some serious negitiation at a downtown wedding shop I was able to get them for $45 each. But my original idea was to make them myself, unfortunately I just ran out of time. But I had found this website before so if you would like to make them here’s some directions: http://www.geocities.com/chris_breecher/beadbouquets.html

Adrienne - Thank you! The poem for the men’s bathroom basket was “Whether your eyes feel dry or you hair is out of place
You’re not feeling so fresh, or whatever the case
We’ve put together a basket to help you along,
Now hurry back out there before you miss the next song!” and for the men’s basket we included cologne, mouthwash, Tide to-go pen, breath mints, gum, hair gel, hairspray, comb, brushes, bandaids, advil/tylenol, tums, wet wipes and eye drops.

Danielle - Congrats on your linens! After seeing my wedding I had wished I had gotten Tiffany napkins to add a litte more color to the tables. It will be beautiful I’m sure! The unity candle ceremony was one of my favorite things during the ceremony. I actually got my candles at a sale the day after Christmas. They were in packs of 12 at CVS for 33 cents each. Then I glued ribbon around them, glued a flat sided swarovski crystal on them and then purchased the bobeches from: http://www.candle4less.com/Paper-Bobeche.pr.1084.htm

Kristen - Thank you! I purchased the flower girl dress here: http://www.onsalebridal.com/flower_girl_dresses/alfred_angelo/6342.html with the petals in robin’s egg. I really loved this dress too!

Ashley - My florist put it down for us and sprinkled rose petals on it. I know there are some brides who prefer no one to walk on the aisle runner before they do but I didn’t care that much. I was more concerned with it being securely attached ahead of time than me being the only one to step foot on it. Knowing me I would totally be the girl to trip and fall on her face if it wasn’t pinned down.

Samatha - We did our signature drinks using hypnotiq and they were delicious! Good luck!

Something similar happened at my friends wedding. She had all hers bridesmaids wearing this purplish color and her maid of honor wearing lavander. To include the extra person she had her pick any dress that was a similar style. The only dress that could be found at such a short notice was lavander–so even though she wasn’t the maid of honor—she wore the same color.

I am sure you covered all your bases online–the only other place I can think of that has dresses in almost every color under the sun is Davids Bridal.

I know that the Maid of Honor is special and will want to stand out from the rest–bit it may be easier to match than the brown at this time of year.

I hope it helps–good luck

And I checked with every other bridal online and either they said no or they were charging to much for the rush shipping. And another thing is that to get the same color as my bridesmaid. My wedding is turquoise and brown. My bridesmaid are wearing hazelnut (brown) my maid of honor is wearing turquoise. Can you please tell me where I can find the flower girl dress from your pictures. It is adorable! Your wedding was beautiful.

Hi Everyone! I am having a tiffany blue wedding on 6-28-08. My accent colors are white, silver…and I don’t know what else to use. My florist is telling me that choosing a color will work better for my bouquet and bridesmaids bouqets, rather than just using white flowers. Does anybody have any good ideas, or suggestions. Doesnt have to be flower related.

Im having a tiffany blue wedding on July 26th and for those of you looking for boxes for the tiffany centerpieces ~ I just found the Perfect boxes at JoAnns fabrics. Their brown but they come in a pack of 3 and theres 3 diferent sizes so it was exactly what i needed for only $10 and all I have to do is wrap it in aqua paper and add ribbon.

marianne i have seen hot pink and navy blue together and it looked great it was on theknot.com website under searching for blue weddings when you said blue with white or yellow what shade of blue- my wedding is aqua and fuchsia which is a shade of blue and pink together - if you going to use hot pink use a dark shade of yellow to see it really pop!!!! just a thought!!!

The blue is wonderful with white or yellow. I am going with hot pink because I was debating on a blue or pink wedding. I asked my fiance and he actually prefers the pinks. I wanted to add another color to make it more interesting. Pale yellow tulips would be beautiful with hot pink dresses and a hot pink bouquet for the bride.

the red and light blue just doesn’t do it for me. I love hot pink and pale yellow for a spring-summer garden wedding.

Just posted about a super-cool aqua/chocolate gerber wedding in Daisy theme weddings … anyone having that type of theme is invited to go check it out!

Bee I went to The Container store and they have the large nested boxes. You might want to check there website. They have great prices. I am buying a large box and using it for my cake centerpiece and wrapping it in Tiffany Blue paper. I made a mini one for note cards and it worked out. I will post pictures up soon.
