For my place cards holders my FI made little square wood cubes that he put a little nitch on the top. I painted them Tiffany Blue and I’m putting the place card in the top w/ little white riibbons on the top. He bought a piece of 1.5 x 1.5 square molding from Home Depot and just cut them down. They came out really cute. I’m going to hang them from a mazanita branch..so it will look like it’s covered in Tiffany boxes w/ the names sprouting out of it.

Hi ladies thank you for the compliments and inquiries. I’ll try to answer as best I can…

Annie - The size of my invitations were 7″ x 7″, they were pretty large but I thought it would be special to go with our 7-7-07 theme. I don’t think that size is carried anymore however by cards and pockets. I think I responded to your question about how we assembled them awhile ago but here is what I wrote last time in case you missed it: We ordered the white square sheet from My Gastby in white with black thermography and the pocket fold was from CardsandPockets.com in “Tiffany. ” The one I got was a 7″x7″ one fold pocket (which I don’t think they carry anymore) but there is a 6″x6″ 3 fold pocketfolder which is pretty similar. I printed out the white strip on the front and attached it with Tombo Roller Tape Glue (Michael’s carries it and that stuff is AMAZING). Then we pre-tied the bow and used the tape glue to attach the bow (tucking the sides under the white paper strip). For the inside we cut silver card stock into 6 1/2″ squares, glue taped that down and then glue taped the My Gatsby sheet on top of it. Then to add a little sparkle we purchased Swarovski crystals and used elmers glue to glue one the My Gatsby invitation and two on the front. We got SO many compliments on them it ended up being worth the effort. But it took us about 3 weeks to complete them in all! If you’d like to take a look at it again, just click on my screen name and you can see my profile.”

Bee - For our invitations we got the following 7 1/4″ x 7 1/4″ enveolopes from Crane: http://www.crane.com/prdSell.aspx?Name=22100_CranesPearlWhiteLettraMarquisEnvelopes
I may have made a mistake…the ones I got from envelopemall.com were for our cd favors.

b2b2009 - The square glass vases were 5″ cubed and were provided by my florist and the submersible lights were purchased off EBAY in the color “Teal” from seller: sixstarsales under this item name: Submersible Battery LED 12 Light Ups~TEAL~Tea Wedding~. The wax was also from EBAY from seller: seasonscreations under the item name: Aqua Pearl Glue Gun Sealing Wax. If you do sealing wax I highly recommend the glue gun kind. It was so much easier than trying to melt the wax myself. You just do a dollup with the glue gun, stamp and you’re good to go! The actual seal I found on clearance at Target and it actually turned out quite well.

I know what it’s like to want a Princess beautiful wedding and be on a tight budget and my best advice is to check EBAY first. Everything seemed to be cheaper there than anywhere else. Good luck and feel free to contact me with any other questions!

So I am pretty much starting over with design and everything. I love the invitations and have already looked in to purchasing those… I would like to know what size square glass containers you used for the rose centerpieces… also, where did you purchase the submersible blue lights? Thanks MandD! I purchased the two larger boxes on Ebay and the small flat ones were from Tiffany gift cards and the small one on top was from a gift my husband gave me….so they were all authentic Tiffany boxes - I cut a large hole on the top of the bottom box, then the same size hole on the bottom of the middle box. Then wrapped the ribbon around each individual box taping it on the inside. Then using a ruler and tracing the size of slit we wanted we cut an opening in the front of the middle box with a VERY SHARP box cutter. The sharper it is the easier it is to cut so I would buy a brand new one for this project. Then we used glue gun to stick the bottom and middle pieces together. The top was really easy. For that I just tied the three boxes together glued it on top and stuck a large bow on it. Make sure you do this one a week or so before your wedding so you can be sure the glue has plenty of time to dry. Good luck MandD!

I don’t have the site. What I did was ask a local bakery if they could make those mini cakes and they told me they could. The bakery I went to made the ribbons out of frosting instead of the ribbon. Check her website out at http://www.edibledesignsbyjessie.com/minicakes.htm. $8 was the cheapest I could find. I hope this helps out.

But I recently went back to the place to see how it is with allot of people the hall is very big but it is very plain. All the walls are painted red. There is red everywhere . Can some of you ladies help me with some decorating advice. My wedding is turquoise and brown. My center pieces are stacked boxes with turquoise wrapping and brown ribbon. My linens are brown and i am using turquoise and white petals and also candles. Ladies please help me with some decorating advice and with these red walls

you can use tall cylinder vase with a blue tall candle or even a floting candle to give the romantic look. Also around it you can put some tiffany blue petals with votile candles. It will look very pretty.

Hello Everyone-
I am currently working with a bride that is using the color combination of Tiffany Blue and Brown. Rather than using Tiffany Blue as her main color, she is using brown with accents of Tiffany Blue and Dark Red.

Dresses and Flowers for Bridal Party
Dresses are brown with the Tiffany Blue sash- flowers bouquets will be red with same Tiffany Blue sash.
Tuxedos are brown with brown vest or tie- red flowers

Decor
Tables covered with Tiffany Blue linens, chairs are dark brown folded padded chairs
Centerpieces- stacked boxes (blue) with red flowers and black manzanita trees with red hydrangeas and hanging votive candles with tourquoise blue water.

I found this color combination to be very pretty, especially if you are having a fall wedding- refer to the current issue of bride & bloom spring 2008 page 44 and 45 for the color combination.
Enjoy!:D

Does anyonme have any unique ideas for the seating card table? I almost want to put the cards on something and put it into a sandbox– but there has to be a better idea. I am planning a beach wedding– saw the venue today– the ceremony room is fabulous– I amopting not to be outside because it was SOOO windy. I live in South Florida so November will still be nice on the beach.

The receptoon room is a little small and needs a lot of work.. as does the ceremony room.

Just tring to come up with unique but contemperary ideas is hard for me– :-(

Samantha,

I am using 8″ bubble bowls with broken glass at the bottom (it is the aqua color) and beta fish that are the aqua color too. For an extra nice touch I am putting square glass mirrors underneath the bowls (found them at Ikea. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/categories/range/10372/10758. I think it was the lots mirrors 4 for ~$ 5). I think it is less expensive than roses in a t.b. colored box, but still looks elegant. Total it will be about $4/ bowl, $1.25/mirror, $2/ broken glass in bowl, and $2/fish…$10 per centerpiece. Not bad. If you really want to do roses in a centerpiece. Here’s my DIY suggestion. Order roses from http://www.rosesource.com. They will ship them where you want a couple of days before the wedding and are supposed to last 5 days in water. Talk with their representatives…they are very helpful. You can get 100 roses for about $110. Buy vases, trim the stems to the size you want and you have beautiful elegant centerpieces like this one. It will probably take at least 12 roses per table though plus the cost of vases. Hope these ideas helped. Good luck!

Thank you Suella! I got the picture stamps personalized by zazzle.com. We had it weighed at the post office and because of the square shape it cost more than usual - something to consider if you’re choosing between square and rectangle invitations - we liked the “tiffany box” look of the square ones so the extra cost was worth it to us. Zazzle has different stamp incriments so we just choose the one that would cover the cost of the invitation. Hope that helps!

Hi danielle - I know, color matching is seriously hard work! It took a good 3 hours to get the right shade, but what I recommend is once you find it save it and reuse it. I think we found it first for our invitation cover and then I saved the template and copy and pasted the tiffany blue font to everthing and just altered it as needed.

The candles I purchased the day after thanksgiving for $0.49 for a box of 10 or 12 at Savon (now CVS). I stocked up and got about 8 boxes and then wrapped the ribbon around and glued the rhinestone on. I would look at craft stores, but if you can possibly wait holidays are the best time to buy them.

Shonda - I’m glad you liked the strawberries. They were AMAZINGLY good. What she told me she did was bought the biggest strawberries she could find (which came from Coscto) and just used melted brown and white chocolate. First she dipped them both in white chocolate. Then for the tuxes she dipped the backs in brown chocolate and then each side of the front in brown chocolate. She said getting these even took some skill of the hand. Then she just used a tooth pick to dip in the chocolate to make the buttons and tie. It’s kind of hard to see in the picture but she also had circles of tulle undernieth the bride strawberries which really added the effect.

Annie - unfortunately I haven’t seen those crystals at Target since I bought them. They were actually at the front of the store around spring time in those $1 bins. They had a BUNCH stuff for $1 for wedding decorations. Most of it was janky looking but the crystals were a fun addition to our escort card table.

Hope this helps ladies! And please let me know if you guys have any other questions. I’m happy to share my experiences where I can!

Annie: The boxes I used for the card box were all from sellers on EBAY. I purchased large Tiffany & Co. boxes and then a hole in the top of the larger one and in the bottom of the smaller one and then glued them together and added a slot for envelopes to be deposited. We just used an exact-o knife and elmers glue.

Danielle: The programs I made were made from glossy, tri-fold brochure paper from Office Max. Then after a lot of trial and error with our color printer we found the “Tiffany Blue” shade and then cut two inch and a quarter long slits in the middle section and then threaded the ribbon through and then hand tied the bows.
The candles were given out to all of our guests as they arrived and during the candle lighting portion of the ceremony the audience lit one another’s candles until the flame reached our mothers. Then each of our mother’s came up to light our individual candles and then we lit our unity candle. We had our pastor explain that it was a symbolic joining of our two families…it was a wonderfully moving part of our ceremony that I highly recommend incorporating!

Thank you for the questions and please let me know if you have anymore! Best of luck planning ladies!!

Martha Stewart Weddings - Winter 2008 has LOVELY coverage of a tiff blue/coral/pale pink wedding, very elaborate, full of exotic ideas for anyone considering a similar color scheme. Plus, they had fun weaving in the Audrey Hepburn aspect, which automatically makes it even more chic. I love the ice sculpture solitaire, the invite, the ghost chairs.

Definitely check out this issue.

Thanks Tiffany L.C., I forgot I even asked that question (lol). I am going to go with it! They are nice and affordable. I own one with the heart charm that opens and I actually like it better than the thick choker-chains because it is nice and dainty. I am sure they will like theirs.

Amy I seen Tiffany answered you as well, but I just wanted to suggest to you and the other brides to be that I just found this site that offers discounted rates on wedding supplies. They have Tiffany Blue organza, sashes, ribbons. They offer votive holders by the case basically for dirt cheap, candles, etc.

http://www.save-on-crafts.com/bridalveilshop.html

Now, I haven’t ordered from them yet, but I plan on it.

Thanks Tiffany, I thought that would be the case with the tulle, especially since I haven’t seen it used in that way anywhere. I thought satin would look nice too, do you know where I can either rent or buy it for a decent price? (I live in NY if that makes a difference with shipping, etc.)

Finally, HELLP anyone!

I need help finding men’s vests and ties that are in the actual Tiffany Blue. Like the color of the felt bag inside the box. That is what color the Mori Lee Tiffany Blue is. All I can find is Pool blue which is not the same thing. I don’t know what to do, please, any suggestions?

Sorry this is so belated but to follow up with some questions…the drink we made was a mixture of Champagne and Hypnotiq. Not only did the color come out great but they’re tastey too!

Cie-Cie…I did something similar and bought my bridesmaids pendants as their gifts and they loved them! Tiffany’s has necklaces with each initial and they each wore their necklace for the wedding.

Dee - For the table names I actually made them myself using Photoshop. It was really easy to do and then once they were “collaged” I had them printed out by Shutterfly and then I attached them to a platinum colored, thick paper and cut to a quarter inch around the picture.

Amy - I experimented with tulle in tiffany blue and it just didn’t do the color any justice. I would say cut costs somewhere else and splurge for the color you want. It will really have a nice effect at the reception to have it in satin.

And thank you for the compliments on my dog…I will be sure to pass them along to her! She is a tea-cup poodle (apricot with white patches). She is a sweetheart and SO smart…and what I love most of all is she doesn’t shed!

Good luck to all of you and happy Aqua planning!

I actually am doing similar invites too. They have the exact templet in the TB color on a website called http://www.paperpresentation.com. Check it out. It is not too expensive. You’d just have to print out the invites and place them into the pouchette. I don’t think the website shows that they have them, but they do. I already ordered and received them. Call and talk with a representative. They are very helpful and have lots more in the TB color than they show on their website.

You can order the colored cd label paper from this site and they offer it in Pastel Blue:

This is a link to a larger pic of the blue labeled cd with the sheer case and white ribbon:

Here’s a simple but really attractive combo of aqua and royal blue.

The stars of course are the centerpiece florals, which showcase those gorgeous casablanca liles in a frame of white roses, crysanthemums and carnations, gorgeous green tulip buds and a blue filler flower I’m not quite sure of (anyone?). You don’t need to go overboard with the tables when you’ve got CPs like this … but of course they’re not cheap unless you have a VERY talented relative!

Here’s yet more inspiration for a tiff blue and red event plus orange — once again — from StyleMePretty! Makes wonderful use of highly decorative treats (and champagne), gorgeous curly willow as a display tree, and ample use of aqua ribbon. You can just never overuse satin ribbon for a modern-style event.

Shonda, that red and blue is brilliant! I LURVE it!

Speaking of LURVE, I wanted to post these pics of a totally delicious tiff blue, tangerine (!) and yellow wedding. This is an adventurous combo, but it couldn’t be more perfect.

The bride carried a bright bouquet of pale yellow mini callas surrounded by a ring of yellow roses, with a white satin wrap. The bridesmaids wore floor-length tiff blue silk shantung gowns with a tangerine sash or pashmina (same fabric for each gown, but varying designs), and carried bright bouquets with fuchsia, orange and yellow. The maid of honor wore a tangerine gown. How gorgeous is this??

This is to Kelly Smith,

Check with a local bridal salon that carries a wide selection of designers. Most have a color swatch book and you can see who has a color that best matches The Tiffany Blue you are looking for. Mori Lee Has a color called Tiffany Blue in their line. Alfred Angelo has a color called Robin’s Egg Blue. I’m sure that others have a color close to Tiffany, but I do not know the names of them.

Good Luck with your search.

I had a breathtaking graduation Tiffany theme party for my daughter. I have all of the already stacked and wrapped boxes for centerpeices and other wrapped and bowed boxes to decorate an entire hall. I live in Michigan and the boxes are for sale. They are absolutely beautiful. Please email me at tiffanyangelsmom@yahoo.com. Thanks and congratulations!!

I just want to say Thank-you To Suzanne for your thoughts and ideas for dressing up the reception walls and ceilings. We fortunately have as much time as we need for decorating the space. So we can start decorating a week ahead. That is going to be a major help. I’m still going with my overall wall idea, except instead of swagging the teal and robin’s egg blue on the walls, I’m just going to use the tulle to swag tables instead.

I did rethink the ceiling idea. I think instead of using tulle stretched across with christmas lights on top. I’m instead going to get the clear painters platic drop cloths and roll them out and lightly spray paint them to give a more cloud filled sky like look. I have a big enough backyard to this on and plenty of little hands to help. Then I will swag tulle and christmas lights from all four corners and the middle of all four walls to the center, then hang a big paper lantern from where they come together. It will be a bit tricky, but we have access to a lift and I could hang something from the center of the ceiling, before I put up the plastic, that I can attatch the tulle and the lantern too. I would just have to make a small hole in the plastic to reach up thru. We’ll add paper lanterns in various spots to help shed more light. Again I would hang wire or something that the lanterns would hang from, from the ceiling first before putting up the plastic. Then we would just need to put small holes in the plastic to pull the wire down thru. I was thinking that this idea might better disguise the ugly ceiling and light fixtures yet we can still use the light that comes from the fixtures while people are eating. Then we can shut those lights off and still hopefully have enough light from the other sources to give a more romantic feel once eating is over and the partying begins.

This will require less christmas lights and tulle. A big money saver, which is always a plus.

If anyone else has thoughts or ideas, please feel free to share them. You can e-mail me directly if you want at happywyoquilter@yahoo.com again thank-you Suzanne. Good luck with your research.

In response to Linda’s daughters wedding and the wall issue. Trying to image what your room looks like, If you have to tring lights above you may want to use netting lights, as they will look uniform and with not so many strands to drive you crazy. Not sure where you live, but if you talk to a balloon creator , they use a grid made out of lightweight pvc pipe. Are you doing just a dance floor size? As far as walls go, that is a big project. Remember you only have so much time, and you have to be ready for pictures and such. what if you used curtains swags and gathered. I used 12 foot poles anchored in cement pots, and used them as a curtain backdrop for the picture area. quick easy, and it is something the boys can do easily do. Just make sure if you have a large area you will need more support that just the four corners. This concept works great for Hupas, or gazebo type feeling. Works gook in sand too. Use garlands made out of beautiful greens if you aren’t worried about covering up. Idea usually has swags in a variety of colors that are 9ft. long and 4feet across. You get two panels for about $9.00. Ok back to researching for my own bride. I am a florist in the Seattle area. Hope I helped in some way. I am all about the easy squeezy plan. If you have any questions you can reach me at Set-The-Tone@hotmail.com Good luck and Enjoy Suzanne

My daughter is getting married at the end of August 2008. She picked Teal and Robin’s Egg Blue for her wedding colors. I’m limited to my shopping for tulle where we live. We want to make swags using it. Has anyone bought aqua tulle? If so how close would it be to the Robin’s Egg Blue? Or would a turquoise blue be closer? Her colors are Tealness and Robin’s Egg Blue from Alfred Angelo.

We are hoping to buy the tulle inexpensively no more than $150.00 total and in large quanities (i.e 54″ - 108″ wide x 50yds or more) We need a total of 100 yards of the 108″ wide or 200 yards of the 54″ wide. I found some 54″ wide Aqua on Ebay being offered by Favor Frenzy. Has anyone bought this from them? If so could you tell me how close it comes to Robin’s Egg Blue?

If anyone has any ideas on where to purchase Robin’s Egg Blue tulle inexpensively please let me know.

Just to let you know the swags will be 11′ at the highest point and 9′ at the lowest point from the floor. They will be ovelapping in both the Teal and Robin’s Egg Blue. We may come down several feet. I have to re-measure how high we can make the walls. Two of the walls are completely unfinished and have the steel I beams running horizontally and insulation showing. The other two walls are way too beige. So to remedy this I’m covering the walls in pleated white tulle using white plastic table cloths behind the tulle to help hide the nastiness of the walls. But I have to work with the hieght of the I beams.

The ceiling is extremely high and also unfinished. So I’m going to stretch pleated white tulle from one side of the room to the other and lay Christmas lights on top to help bring down the height and hide the ugly ceiling. I don’t know how far down to bring the ceiling without everyone feeling closed in but yet still let the Christmas lights work as lighting. I really do not want to use the lights that are in the building. They are to bright and ugly. Do you think 11′ would be to high for the ceiling and lights? How low would be to low?

Thank-you for letting me ramble. If anyone could please help me I would be most greatful. I’m already stressing and we still have seven months or so to go and I’m not even the Bride. I just want everything to be perfect for my daughter’s big day.

My tiffany blue wedding is in July. For my centerpieces, I am doing minature wedding cakes…some that look like square tiffany boxes, and some round with white icing and tiff blue accents. I have rectangular tables, so on each side of the cake there will be a martini glass filled with clear and blue stones that contain a small calla lily arrangement. In between the cake and the glasses, I am also adding small tealight holders, and using the tiffany blue touling as a table runner.

I also bought the tiff blue paper from sophie’s favors. For favors I ended up getting bookmarks, picture frames, keychains, and cookie cutters (all with a matching design) that were already boxed. I am going to wrap all of these with the blue paper and add a white ribbon, and put one at each place setting so that each guest has a box to unwrap. Hope some of these ideas are helpful!

Hi
You can purchase tiffany blue wrapping paper on sophiesfavors as far as the white bows I purchased that on ebay I got 12 white bows to put on the boxes. I have 10 centerpieces. try going to your local bakery for cake boxes that’s where I got mine for a small fee. Around the boxes I’m using votive candle holders with turquoise candles and aqua silk rose petals also purchased on ebay they also have tulle there too.

As far as my bridal shower which will also be the same tiffany blue theme I’m just thinking about getting some balloons or a tall vase with a drop or two of blue food coloring so its not so dark with water and some calla lilies. Gifts most likely would be some a ring keychain in a aqua blue box, not sure yet on gifts.

Tiffany, I’m not sure. At any rate Carolina Retail only seems to sell the tuck-top boxes which I think are not what most people want for their CPs; they want two-piece boxes, with lids. I know this has been a real struggle for brides for some time, finding that.

I looked on ebay for good options, you can find stacked two-piece papier mache boxes there in larger sizes (10-14″, largest), but they were kind of pricey — you’re looking at $35 per CP plus painting/design costs, which is a lot for a stack of boxes.

Then I found this brilliant Canadian blogger, Karrie Snyder, who shows you how to make two-piece gift boxes, perfect for stacking, out of cardstock.

And her example is soooo stylish, she makes me want to rush out into the big world, whip up a pile of custom boxes and put some kind of personal spin on them, like a marabou feather collar or some pink stripey accent around the edge.

She makes it look easy — and maybe it is. At any rate, it’s inexpensive and obviously the results can be HOT. Something like this — or buying pre-made CPs from recent newlyweds with the same theme, since ‘crafty’ and ‘me’ rarely appear in the same sentence — would probably be my approach.

And here’s an adorable photo from InStyle magazine covering Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon’s August baby shower (for twins, boys!). Those chic chocolate brown favor boxes would be so simple to make with mod-style ribbon, wrapping paper or stencils …

They mixed it up with the flowers, too: all white, says InStyle, but the florist used “daisies, roses, tulips, lilies and mums.” Very chic!

DeMyra, a lot of people use stacked aqua gift boxes as centerpieces. You can do this easily by wrapping the boxes in aqua gift wrap from some place like Walmart and adding white satin ribbon. Or you can paint them.

Here’s a great example of the stacked boxes from Knottie 8202004bride. Obviously she surrounded hers with votives and aqua and white silk petals.

You could add even more zing by wrapping each box with a separate ribbon, placing all the boxes on a cake stand, or filling the top tier with a square of Oasis foam, some waterproof lining and pavéed white or cream flowers: spider mums, carnations, roses. That would be totally elegant and still easy enough to DIY with a little help. You could also drape strings of pearl beads from the cake stand.

Some brides here have already done their stacked gift centerpieces and maybe a few can post pics? (hint hint!) :P

Kira,
you could also try maybe a darker version on the tiffany’s blue (more like a turquiose or darker blue). you could also go lighter for your mob and mog outfits. just a thought because i saw that you wanted to keep it all around the same color. my wedding is aug. 23 ‘08, and for the most part we have everything figured out. i just told my mom and future mother-in-law that any color they like (except white) is fine with me. the great thing about this color it that with flower, you can have the same color ribbon around the stems to pull it all together. hope this helps.

My centerpieces are gifts boxes 3 different sizes that will be wrapped in tiffany blue wrapping paper and a white bow on top around that will be white and aqua votive candles and aqua rose petals!! My wedding will be gift box theme . My cake will also be gift boxes but it will be the opposite of the centerpieces cake is white but with a tiffany blue bow.

My mom, stepmom, and hubby’s stepmom all wore colors to coordinate with my flowers… which, if you look at the pictures below, gave them a lot of freedom. We had a tropical/beachy theme with our Tiffany main color - my mom wore a coral dress, stepmom wore fushia, his stepmom wore tan with orange and pink flowers. Maybe if have colors other than white & aqua in your accents, you can send them in that direction!

Hi, I am a Tiffany Blue/Aqua and Chocolate bride with white accents. My wedding will have a slightly retro feel to it as well, and I am trying to make it more environmentally conscious. The date is August 10, 2008. I need help on invitation style ideas and cake ideas (keeping in mind the retro feel.
Description of what I have so far:

Centerpieces: Vintage White Milk glass bud vase with single flower (maybe calla lily) and a vintage style aqua candy dish with aqua puff mints or retro candy (the dish is from anthropologie)

Brown dresses for maids and a aqua dress for my MOH; they will be wearing white round toed pumps and white lucite filigree headbands.
For part of their gifts I am making simple round white bead necklaces of vintage white milk glass, earrings with white milk glass tulips and either aqua or brown glass briolettes (depending on which color dress), and white lucite cuff bracelets with either aqua or brown flower graphic on them.

I myself am going to make my dress stand out by having it by ivory, and mixing blues and greens close to aqua together for my bouquet and other accents. Still trying to decide on fingerless gloves and what kind of veil…

I have some other ideas but don’t want to take up too much more room on this board! Suggestions are welcome!

chekerr - I have lots of ideas for you, if you’re in need! :D Is there a way for us to email each other, so I can share more photos and such with you?
We got married outside on the bay (Tampa Bay) - we were on grass, but the water was “right there”! So we had a very beachy feel to the whole day… as you can probably tell in the pictures. I wore orchids in my hair (no veil), the guys were in flip flops… even my groom, in his linen suit, had on flip flops! :D
I went through several favor options before I decided on what we ended up using… I found small “Tiffany boxes” - filled them with aqua & white M&M’s (our last name starts with M, so they were perfect for us!), had labels w/ starfish & a shell on them made personalized on eBay (with our names & wedding date) - tied up the box like a gift using outmeal colored raffia. That same raffia was used in flower arrangments, on our programs, etc…
Everything was tied in SOMEWHERE!! :D
Let me know if you want to exchange emails! I do love to talk “wedding”!!

So, a local bridal shop took on the task - I bought the fabric, and a picture of what I had in mind, and they worked MAGIC! They made a little one for my flower girl too!!:P

Bridesmaid dresses are by Watters - top color is “Ocean”, bottom is “Tiffany” - my sash was made from the Tiffany! It is a little darker than true Tiffany but coordinated lovely with the color (I had accents everywhere).
Enjoy - let me know what you think! :D

I had a sash on my dress, in Tiffany satin. I ordered the fabric from Watters and had it made. I loved it.

Aqua shirts - My hubby wore one from Tommy Bahama. Short sleeved & a raw silk - beautiful. The groomsmen wore white linen shirts, but we did find aqua linen shirts on http://www.islandimporter.com.

I didn’t even realize how big this theme was but I saw something on Platinum Weddings (blue champagne) and googled it and saw this website. Does anybody have any ideas on the blue champagne? I saw the posting for the hypnotic but I also wanted to get some information on the blue champage (or if anyone has seen that episode - some really great ideas there like the orbit gum in the same shade as the blue with a cute ribbon around it).

One thought about the short dress Audrey wore when she was heading to see the guy in jail for the first time when she first met Paul. But the dress she wore in the beginning is the classic and people will get it more. I told them BIG pearls, hair up, tiara, a cup of coffee (kidding) and the sunglasses for the picture. I just got engaged June 29th. The wedding is September 20th 2008. When is yours? How friggin exciting that you and I are doing the same. We MUST keep discussing this. I had no idea this blue was so hot right now! I started with my “beachy” theme - and slowly, I realized that the color just worked. Someone mentioned using orange/fuschia with the color… I am doing those colors, as well as a hot pink, in the flowers. (Gerbera Daisies, orchids, roses, freesia) Centerpieces are 9″ hurricanes rolled in sand & shells. I will have a 20×20 square in the center of the table under the mirror/hurricane.

Bought the aqua favor boxes - have labels on them with our names, wedding date, and starfish on them - tying with raffia (beachy theme). I’m finding that all the raffia and tan linen is working so beautifully with the aqua color!! Filling the boxes w/ aqua and white M&M’s. My new last name starts with M, so I’m not even having to personalize them! Will also throw a chocolate starfish in each one.

Dress is white with aqua sash - Flower girl to match me - bridesmaids & jr. bridesmaids are wearing Watters & Watters “Ocean” with aqua accent at waist. Getting married so soon - Oct 13 - and I’m really getting excited!! After all my hard work I just want to see it come together.

I realize they aren’t national, but the have several locations - if you’re looking to rent linens, Connie Duglin linens has an aqua satin that is perfect!

Happy planning ladies! Thanks for all the tips. :D

Hi, I’m not sure what Tiffany LC used, but I have seen people use “hypnotic” as the main alcohol for the blue colored drinks. If you haven’t had it, it’s kind of a mango-tropic fruit liquor with vodka.

Tiffany LC. just wondering where you got the blue drinks? I;m getting married next Aug 23rd, but I think that the drinks would be great for the rehersal dinner. If you could let me know, that would be wonderful. I loved your wedding pictures.

I’m also doing an aqua blue wedding, it’s Oct. 07. Michael’s crafts store has aqua blue ribbon. Also, for those of you that are looking for pool colored tapered candles, they have them at Old Time Pottery for about .55 cents per candle.

Hi everyone! I’m getting married Dec. 29 2007. I am having aqua blue even though my wedding is in the Winter. I am having aqua blue BM dresses and the guys are wearing brown tuxedos. I am trying to do a very natural theme without a lot of flowers. I don’t want a bunch of flowers in the middle of the winter. So i’m having iced birch branches in large pots with a bunch of candles for the ceremony. My problem is i have no idea what type of flowers for the bouquets. I want the BM’s to have white flowers and my dress is white with a aqua blue sash…should i have blue flowers or what? i also have no idea about centerpieces!! i found like 16 inch tall cylinder vases for cheap and got them. I have no idea how to fill them! like i said id ont want alot of flowers….does anyone have any ideas!! please help

I just decided last night after staring at color samples that I wanted aqua blue incorporated in my 6.7.08 wedding. I really want all shades from dark to light of pink incorporated in my wedding as well. Do you guys think that fuchsia and aqua would be too much?? It seems everyone else is going for softer pinks….

My problem is I can’t decide between the blue, sliver, white or the blue and chocolate and incorporate a beach theme. I’m not that crazy about seashells either. Monique,

I don’t know what stores you have up there but if you have a House of Brides check them out. They have REALLY good prices. But in any store you go in, if they carry Venus (or it may be called Bella) they have a color called Jamaican Mist that matches perfect. And Mori Lee has bridesmaids dresses in the aqua color. It matches really well too. If you don’t have a House of Brides near you check them out online. http://www.houseofbrides.com . They dont have the Venus (Bella) dresses on that site..i dont think. But Mori Lee IS on there. I got my wedding dress from House of Brides too. GREAT deal! But they differ from location to location. Some have good selections while others have very little. My House of Brides let me pay and extra $25 up front and all of my bridesmaids get 15% off of their dresses and after the wedding I get my $25 back hehe. Anywho, I hope this has helped!

Belsoie and B2 (both found on jasminebridal.com) each have a color that could be called aqua. Belsoie has “sea glass,” which is a more of a robin’s egg blue, but B2’s Bahama Breeze is what people generally think of when they hear aqua - It’s much brighter. You can have any of the Belsoie dresses made with B2 colors, and visa versa.

I’m buying aqua/robin’s egg blue cardstock and this gorgeous sparkly white cardstock, overlapping them and tying them together with yellow ribbon. Check out Michaels if you have one. I think the aqua cardstock is called Seaglass… i think. I also went to Hobby Lobby (Michaels may carry them too) and got these need tool that helps you cut paper in a straight line.

My bridesmaid dresses are going to be the Chocolate color (perhaps with an aqua sash?). The groomsmen’s vests will be also be chocolate. Maid of honor is in Pink.
My favors are going to be the robin’s egg blue boxes with white sheer organza bows. The filling for the boxes will be up to the guests, we’re going to have a candy buffet with aqua, Pink & White colored candy, so they can choose what they want.
I’m still deciding on what to do for centerpieces…

But finally after a month of searching, I found it! At a Wal-Mart of all places!!! I found a really lovely dress made by After Six in the color Meadow (fabric is Nu-Georgette). You can see it on http://www.dessy.com under the After Six tab, style #A6248. The colors on the website look nothing like the fabric swatches in real life, so never order strictly off the site. Always go in to the store to check it out.
