What new couple couldn’t use a little extra money to tie the knot or embark on the remarkably romantic honeymoon of their dreams?

If you’ve already maxed out the credit cards and tapped out all of the rich relatives and have already added a “Please Help Support My Wedding” button to your website, here are a few other unique ways that you can fund your fairy tale…

This guy went all out and combined the internet marketing and advertising craze with his need to drum up some extra dough. While you may have trouble making an exact replica of his idea, you can tailor it to your own needs. Offer free ebooks to visitors who make a donation to your wedding, no matter how small.

Another young woman shared her own crafty fundraising ideas from her site, Buck for the Bride. Rather than pull the heartstrings, this couple decided to play it straight:

We will have a special table set up for sponsors where you can display brochures, business cards and the like. After the event is held we plan on publishing your name and a special thank-you in the newspaper along with our wedding announcement. When thank-you cards are sent out to our guests, your information will be included again. We will even post an ad on Craigslist.org thanking all the sponsors. Ads and recognition will also be placed on our wedding website ..."]

The Last Resort

Of course, if none of these concepts jives with you, there’s always time to type up a heart-rending letter, which thanks to modern technology, you can run by every person in your address book — for free.

And if that’s not quite your style either, don’t forget the old adage — a penny saved is a penny earned. There are literally hundreds of sites and resources on the web that give sage advice as to how you can have a fairytale wedding on a real world budget.

All you’ve got to do is find them.
