I am also getting married in Hawaii (in March), and we are not having our reception until the weather gets nice in May. We are doing it luau style and asking that everyone come in “Aloha attire semi formal”

We got married in Maui in January and are finally having a Luau themed wedding reception. Yes, We think that its ok.

we are planning on going to hawaii to get married- just the two of us.
can we still come home and have a reception? if so, does it have to be right away? Whats the appropraite way to have it?

I’m getting married outdoors but in minnesota. Do you think it’s still ok to have a tropical theme to your wedding?
I think the idea of a tropical wedding makes things more relaxed and obviously not as formal.
