8 Favor Ideas for Your Hawaiian Wedding
Mahalo! When you started to ponder favors, the first thing that came to mind was chocolate-coated macadamia nuts, right? Of course, your guests would love them, but don't stop there ...
After all, you've already shown you like to think outside the box when you planned your destination wedding. And one of the fun things about an intimate little wedding is that you can give more thought, and ask for more quality, in your favors. The possibilities expand when your guest count comes in at 20, instead of 200.
So without more ado, here are eight (plus) favor ideas for your Hawaiian wedding:
Idea
#1.
Kona coffee votive candles offer all the allure of the island without the jitters.
Idea
#2. Believe it or not, chocolate-dipped shortbreads are
big on the Island. Must be all that Scottish influence, huh?
Idea
#3. How about a glorious double-orchid lei in bridal white or sultry violet?
Idea
#4. Those brightly-colored
floating flip-flop candles you've seen at favor sites are perfect
for your shoreside event. Or for a more romantic flavor, try a mini plumeria candle gift set.
Idea
#5. How about some orchid
favor soaps?
Idea
#6. Want something a little different, a little dramatic?
Try colorful, live fish in take-home fishbowls.
Idea
#7. Aromatherapy soaps in Wild Orchid (for her) and Soul Fire (for him) could positively ignite a night in.
Idea
#8.
Chocolate-covered macadamia nut dolphins are no mere token of your affection.

Hi Rhoni! Should be a blast, congrats! Hey, take a look at “Pull Off a Hawaiian Luau Wedding Reception Anywhere — With Ease”. It has some cute ideas that might help spark some thoughts for your own planning.
Also, if you make it over there, I’d love to hear your ideas, maybe you can swap a few with other brides doing the same thing … :-?
I am also getting married in Hawaii (in March), and we are not having our reception until the weather gets nice in May. We are doing it luau style and asking that everyone come in “Aloha attire semi formal”
We got married in Maui in January and are finally having a Luau themed wedding reception. Yes, We think that its ok.
we are planning on going to hawaii to get married- just the two of us.
can we still come home and have a reception? if so, does it have to be right away? Whats the appropraite way to have it?
I’m getting married outdoors but in minnesota. Do you think it’s still ok to have a tropical theme to your wedding?:? I think the idea of a tropical wedding makes things more relaxed and obviously not as formal.
I would diffidently have it out doors. I am planning to have a Hawaiian wedding and reception theme and I’m haveing it in my mothers back yard. it would be more relaxing and fun to have it out doors and would fit your theme better. Just dont forget the ti-ki torches.
Found this website in my travels and thought you like it. - Susie
