The Aqua Blue Wedding

It might say beach. It might say Fifth Avenue.

Either way, the aqua blue wedding (often paired with the most classic of supporting acts, like silver, pearls and creamy roses) is a feast for the imagination ... and the eyes.

Pulling off Your Own Aqua Blue Wedding

winter wonderland 1Plenty of aqua brides stick to their beloved blue, offset with lots of crisp white and crystal. But many brides accent with more colors. Popular uptown picks include chocolate brown, platinum and soft pastel pink. Beachier combinations include orange, fuchsia or yellow. Fearless brides even pair aqua with red!

This look offers so many choices, you just need to lay claim to yours. Decide whether to "spread the wealth" with faux pearls and seashells, or swarovski crystals and platinum accents, or seashells or giant white ostrich feathers — or some other direction that's all your own.

Aqua Blue and Crystal

If you're a crystal bride, you'll sparkle in a wedding gown packed with Swarovski crystals, and tuck a crystal tiara in your updo.

Then, thrill your bridesmaids with crystal hair pins or combs. Plus, place glimmering picks in your floral bouquet, or skip the blooms and bear an all-Swarovski heirloom crystal bouquet down the aisle.

Having a tent wedding? Line the marquee roof with string lights, hang clear crystal chandeliers from the center, and prop up more crystal in the form of grand candelabras topping Corinthian columns. Draw on crystal-studded placecard frames to guide your guests to their seats. Top off your cake with another tiara, circling a sweet half-dome of roses.

Aqua and Platinum

winter wonderland 1Imagine crisp white roses peeking out of silver trumpet vases. Sleek silver candlesticks keep the look going, with delicate white rose petals scattered at the base. A silver monogram sets off the top of your cake. Brushed silver frames announce each table number and guest seat.

Guests tuck into a delectable meal over silver chargers, after oohing and ahhing over the miniature gift box that graced their plate. While you finished up with your photos, they'd enjoyed a signature cocktail made with Blue Curacao and a jigger of pineapple juice, gussied up even more with a bright blue sugar rim.

Your gifts to your bridesmaids? Sterling-silver pendants ... and timeless silver cufflinks for the guys.

Aqua Hits the Beach

Aqua's a favorite color of beach-bound brides everywhere. Don't be afraid to pair aqua with eye-popping colors like fuchsia or coral, aubergine or pale yellow. For flowers, start with white or fuchsia orchids and super-fluffy peonies. Want to go a little wilder? How about coral roses and Pincushion Proteas, or fuchsia gloriosas.

winter 2

Aqua Goes to Paris

Take this flamboyant theme (perfect for bridal showers, too) for a spin by arranging giant ostrich feathers in tall Eiffel vases and scattering marabou feathers plus rose petals down your tables. The perfect boutonnière: a white rose, a few marabou feathers and a shiny aqua ribbon. Très chic!

More Aqua Tips for Any Bride

A classic treatment of aqua calls for a classic flower. It's easy to lose your heart to roses in white, blush or even peach. For an elegant centerpiece, go for paveed roses arranged side-by-side in aqua wooden boxes. Or place simple posies of white and blush roses in square glass cylinders, tying them off with a blue satin ribbon.

A white and aqua candy buffet also makes a stylish statement. Try silver Hershey's kisses, blue Jordan almonds, and white amorini and conversation hearts.

Aqua Attire

David's Bridal has made suiting up for aqua easy (look for "Pool"). Popular combos for bridesmaids (again!) include ivory, pink and chocolate brown in some combination with aqua.

It bears repeating, though: aqua can be overpowering in large doses, unless you lighten it up with a splash of white. The white crinolines shown above are a gorgeous way of breaking up the color block of your bridesmaids' gowns.

Another option: confine aqua to smaller canvases, like sashes, vests, or table overlays.

Speaking of vests, the guys look fine in black tuxes with aqua blue ties. Look into those chocolate brown tuxedos too, which make a visually eye-popping match for chocolate brown/aqua blue bridesmaids.

    Annie..

The lady on ebay’s store is von Lindern Design Studio. If you don’t find it for some reason directly on ebay then google it. She has been awesome to work with. She’s also making all of my menu cards, table numbers & place cards. I also ordered fan style programs from her.

  2. Ericka Says:

I LOVE them too. I would like to know where to find them.

Hey, Everyone, a question. Does anyone know where to find the Tiffany and Company Ring Box? It’s the traditional ring box that you see with the white ribbon on it.

    Thanks.

  3. celia Says:

the picture on this web page of bridesmaids in the tiffany type dresses are just what i want, doesn’t anybody know where i can get a duplicate of this kind

  4. Shana Says:

  5. Margaret Says:

    Erika,

I bought my 2×2x2 boxes from www.sophiesfavors.com . The color code is aqua blue and you can get a free color sample set of what they supply for free or you can also pay for differnt things as well but the color sample set gives you a great varity of ribbon, stickers, the favor boxes, and tags without spending money.

  6. Annie Says:

    Tyra

what is the link for the lady you found in ebay?

  7. Ericka Says:

Hey, Tyra. I don’t think the dress pictures came through. I can see the STD card - too cute.

Who bought the 2″x2″ Tiffany Box for favors. I have discovered tooooo many sites with them for sale (THEY DON’T SAY T&C), but how can you be sure of the color. I am looking for the ones that match the bags as close as possible. If anyone has their boxes, please let me know where they came from and what “color code, etc.” they are.

I may be interested in purchasing the larger boxes as I cannot seem to find them either. Can you upload a picture.

I don’t plan on having a wedding planner involved through all of the DIY process and research, but I do plan to have one the day of the event. I have met with a girl here in my hometown and I like her alot.

Good Luck to Everyone - You all have me excited for you

Tyra: Are you using the bags or the boxes for the favors?:d

  8. Lucy Says:

what decor ideas for the ceremony do u girls have??

  9. Lucy Says:

    Hi ladies,
Anyone having a wedding planner? do i even need one? i feel all my research i can pretty much do it all.. any thoughts??:-"

  10. Tyra Says:

Finally..here are the pics. The first one is of the dress style. The 2nd is the dress color and the 3rd the STD magnet

  11. Tyra Says:

    Hi Erika,

I found Viola on E-bay.god I love e-bay. It’s Von Lindern Design Studio store. She rocks!! She’s doing my favors too. Can you just imagine the little Tiffany bags smelling like Tiffany perfume! I can’t wait.

I designed my own std cards I used a picture of a Tiffany Box &
infused in the picture of my e-ring with our information around it. I’ll try to attach a picture but the last time it didn’t come across too clear.

My bridesmaids dresses are from Davinci bridal If you see the 2 pics the first one is of the actual dresses and the 2nd one is of the color..it’s called irredecent taffeta the picture doesn’t do it justice. It brings out different colors depending on what light it’s in..it looks platinum..a hint a hint of Tiffany blue in certain lights. The bouquets will be cream and pink calla lillies wrapped in Tiffany blue ribbon.

  12. Tara Heisz Says:

Hey all - i’m not sure what to do for favors. I am having the tiffany blue, silver and white colors. and i’ve thought about doing the tiffany blue boxes as favors. But I already have my cake picked out and don’t really want to change it to the tiffany box cake.
anyone have any ideas for me please
    Tara

  13. Bee Says:

    Hello All!
My wedding approaching now (May 31) and I am using Stacked Tiffany boxes as centerpieces. The sizes are:
    10×10x6
    8×8x6
    6×6x6
I found spray paint at Wal Mart and sprayed them.
If anyone is interested in buying them, then you can email me @ bsingleton25@aol.com. I have about 30 sets of them and will have no use for them after May 31!
I have a friend tieing ribbon around them now, but I will take pics today and post them tomorrow.

  14. Ericka Says:

Tyra: You are doing it! I love the idea of the reed diffuser. You must shoot a pix and post it.

You are also a wealth of resource information. Please share the woman who does the stationary. Again, my wedding isn’t until 5/09, but I am putting all of these ideas to work now. I am not ready for the invitation quite yet, but I will file her email/information for later use.

What did some of you ladies use for save the date cards? Any ideas?

I didn’t buy the boxes last night. I am still holding out to find the tiffany and company 2″x2″ box. Tyra (and Anyone) do you know where to find this size box with the lid? I also need larger boxes - like the centerpiece ones that someone else on this site used.

So what BM dresses are you all using? Are they tiffany color?

    Thanks, Ya’ll.

  15. Tyra Says:

I think I figured out what favor I want to put in the bags tonight. I’m going to make mini reed diffuser with the Tiffany perfume scent. Man, I’m outta control!

  16. Tyra Says:

    Hi Ladies,

If anyone is looking for custom stationary ie. menu cards, table numbers, or place cards etc. I found this awesome lady through e-bay. Everything she does is custom made. She duplicated my monogram from my invitation tag to coordinate all of the stationary using the Tiffany Blue color. I ordered 100 menu cards, 20 table numbers, 100 place cards and 100 favor tags for $100 and $8.95 shipping that is the best deal I’ve seen for custom work..I’m too excited right now.

  17. Tyra Says:

    Hi Erika,

I’m still trying to figure out what to put in the boxes and bags..I’m considering either a custom wrapped votive tin..and or a scratch of lotto ticket. We are also making a donation to the American Cancer Society in memory of my FI’s father who passed away 5 years ago.

  18. Kimberly Says:

Ericka- you can use a sticker with your info printed on them to cover up the mis-printed name and date… if you got a white, or silver they would look fine… I wouldn’t try to find a tiffany blue to match because getting the shades exact would probably be close to impossible… I think silver or white would look nice and make sure to do a dark ink, probably black. just try it on one first and see if it looks ok… I guess the choice is do you buy them for the deal and problem solve later… or just order your own…

  19. Ericka Says:

Good Job, Tyra! I am happy for you.
I have talked with the seller and I am buying from her. Like I said, I just wish I had found her sooner. What are your favors?

Question for Everyone: Does anyone have any idea what to do with the boxes that have the wrong date etched on the top of them? I would buy them (on ebay-ending today), but I have been wrecking my brain about what I can do with them. I need some ideas - the price is so right.
    See JACKIE below.

    Thanks.

  21. Margaret Says:

    Annie,

I am guessing you are talking about the vases being to thin. They have a pretty heavy base. We bought the white frosted vases and are placing white sand just to be sure they wont get knocked over. You can put water in them also to steady if you want. We have very large 8 - 12 person round tables so they shouldnt get knocked over (I hope). I am slightly worried about them getting knocked over, but i think guests should realize the problem that could happen and be careful. I made sure to only place them on the large round tables, I am not putting them at the head table because I know my bridal party and we get very clumsy when we drink. I dont think they will fall in you place them at a large table.

I am having a local florist friend do my flowers, Golden Carriage in Dover PA.

  22. Annie Says:

  25. Tyra Says:

    Erika, & Lucy

I emailed you the sellers info from ioffer. I think she still has a bunch of bags left. Again, I do really like the quality. I’m using them to place my guest favors in. I do love the size after all…at first I was scared they were going to be too big for favors but I think they are perfect!!!

It’s going to be so cool to see all of the pretty Tiffany bags at each place setting. My FI was even impressed with the purchase and he’s never impressed with me and my love of Tiffany.

My wedding is in 89 days..08.02.08. I can’t wait. Also, a comment on the pic you found Lucy..from below of the place card holder. It is cute. I had my FI make little wood cubes that I sanded down and he put little slits on the top to hold the name cards. I plan on painting them Tiffany blue and putting little white bows on them. It was nice to see the pic though that it has been done using the gift box idea.

  26. LUCY Says:

    hey girls,

I found this in www.americanbridal.com $20 for a set of 12. I thought it was cute and fit with our theme..

  27. LUCY Says:

    Erika,

The diamond shaped candles are above from this website (favorideas.com).

Thanks Erica i have been doing my research it hasnt been easy but its fun lol.. we all need to help each other :)

  28. Ericka Says:

Lucy - That all sounds tooooo cute! I love the box and diamond paperweigt. I am going to check out the prices at the links you gave.

Where do you get diamond shaped candles? Love the picture idea!

You all are too creative and inspiring. I am so glad to have found this site :)

  29. Ericka Says:

Tyra: Oh No! $.50 - I paid $1.00. I guess I won’t die over it. I would have liked to get more but the shipping was outrageous. Can you share the name of the girl you got yours from. You can even email me the name at luchielle1@yahoo.com. I need more so please share the information. AND they are coming from China. I hope they are okay.

I also bought the gift bag sets with the box, bag, pouch, care card and polishing cloth. I am going to buy jewelry for the attendants and put them in the gift bags.

What are you using your bags for?

I placed a bid on 144 votive candles in a sheer (glass) holder on ebay. It’s $50. Is that reasonable.

Please send me the girl’s info - thank you, thank you, thank you.

    When is your wedding?

  30. LUCY Says:

    hey girls,

Any ideas for the place cards? r u girls using frames?i need some unique ideas..

  31. LUCY Says:

    Cynthia,

I am doing the a black and white pic of audrey hepburn with my fiancee in a diamond picture frame where my envelope box will go with the diamond shaped candles on this site and pearls all over with white roses…

  32. LUCY Says:

    Hi Erica,

This is the favor (tiffany box) I am using and I am placing these medium diamond-shaped paperwight. The box with ribbon is from www.sophiesfavors.com and the diamond paperweight from www.favorsbyserendipity.com.

  33. Tyra Says:

Right on Erika!! I got my bags today!!! I love them..I’m so excited now. I hope you found the girl who was selling the for $.50 a piece. My shipping was cheap because she actually only lived 1 state away. They are going to look sooo HOT!!

  34. Ericka Says:

    Hey, Ladies!

I am new to the site and am amazed at the ideas and creativity that you all have. I am sure your weddings will be simply spectacular.

I took the advice of one bride here and bought the actual tiffany bags from ioffer.com. I haven’t received them yet, but cannot wait until they get here.

My wedding isn’t until 5-09 so I have a chance to learn alot from you all.

Does anyone have any tips on WEDDING DRESSES? This seems to be my most challenging issue thus far.

I think I am using tiffany blue with silver and black. What do you all think about using it with red (my favorite color, and my husand-to-be loves it b/c it’s his fraternity color). I think it is sharp, but I don’t want to be overwhelming.

We are having a church wedding/ceremony and a reception at a really unique restored/renovated library with a ballroom for cocktail hour and a tent for dinner and dancing.

Danielle: PLEASE share. How do are you staying within $7,500. Ideas, please :)

Lucy: What is the box with the paperweight medium diamond? Can you post a picture or link?

Margaret: Thanks for the advice on efavormart :)

  35. Annie Says:

Margaret, thank you,,but they look thin. You think they can fall. What are you using inside to hold it. Who is doing the flowers for you.

  36. Margaret Says:

    Annie,

I posted the site where i bought the eiffel tower vases farther down on this thread. The company was great to work with and ship fast.

I will have to check to see if i have pics of the top of the eiffel tower vases i am using. If i dont, I am getting married next weekend and can post the pic monday May 12 before i leave for the honeymoon.

  37. Tara Heisz Says:

Thanks all for your posts.. I do have the eiffel tower vases but haven’t seen any pictures on this site in previous posts unless i missed it.
I am having round tables with the eiffel tower vases on some tables and a shorter centerpiece on others. Just wondering if anyone can get me some ideas.

  44. LUCY Says:

    Danielle,
Have you used the Fabulous Events people before? I was wondering if you or anyone you know have used them before and were satified. I am afraid of ordering from there and not getting what I thought or not gettting them in time. Please let me know if you have any testimonials. Thanks,
    Adrienne

  47. Margaret Says:

    Tara,

I bought my favors at www.sophiesfavors.com. It is a 2×2x2 favor box with a white ribbon, and small tag. I put hershey kisses and hershey hugs in the box for my silver.

There are plenty of pictures mixed in the comments here on this page. I would check it out. You can also google tiffany blue wedding and get loads of pages with ideas. also www.knot.com can show you brides that have done the tiffany blue theme. good luck!

  48. danielle Says:

CHEAP CHAIR COVERS FINALLY!! ok guyz these people are awesome. www.fabulousevents.info/item.php?iid=404
they only charge 2.50 and they have aqua lamour which is the same color as the tiffany blue box!

  49. Jackie Says:

    Ericka,

I bought them and had them printed at the same place. Efavormart Be careful to review everything when you place an order bc they do not refund on items that are personalized if you mess it up. The site is strange too, because the emblems that you can choose are different depending on which item you are ordering. For example, if you order the double hearts for the boxes it looks like the one shown on my boxes. But, if you order the double hearts for the personalized napkins, then the hearts are different. They have an arrow shooting through it. Just be very careful when you are ordering from them and make sure to click on the View More Images to make sure you are keeping with your emblem them if you choose one.

  50. Tara Heisz Says:

Hey all.. Does anyone have any pictures i can see with the tiffany blue theme. I have a lot left to plan and not even sure where to start.

    Please help

  51. danielle Says:

  52. Margaret Says:

    Mikina,

Just thought of this. If Calla Lillies are her style, and she loves the effel Tower vases you may want to try the suggestion this site makes and go with a paris flair. You can find giant ostrich feathers online, and add some long stemed calla lillies in with them. I dont know if you can find colored ostrich feather but you can try.

Très chic!

    OR

Use the vases with Turquoise feathers and white Calla Lillies. The feathers i found on this website are only 4-6″ long but they could be incorperated in a centerpiece with the Calla Lilles to give the aqua/pool look without stressing over finding the pool color flowers.

    www.save-on-crafts.com/feathers2.html

Basically you would make bouquets with the calla lillies, the feathers and greens in a white bouquet holder (you find at a craft store) with a streight holder stick, make them up and then slip them in the top of the eiffel tower vases.

Hope these suggestions help! I know it can be stressful my wedding is in less then 2 weeks. If you have any questions, you can email me mrohrbaugh@verizon.net

  53. danielle Says:

HEYYY guyz i just picked the song my maids are walking down to ” MOON RIVER” from breakfast at tiffany’s SOOO PERFECT

  54. Tara Heisz Says:

Mikina - your florist should be able to get any type of flower in that color for you. you can even take a white rose and get it your blue color, they just spray paint them. that is what i’m doing

Does anyone have any ideas for guest favors with the tiffany blue, white and silver colors?

  55. Margaret Says:

    Mikina,

Finding pool color flowers will be quite difficult indeed but not impossible. Try www.theknot.com/keywords/sc_150_527.shtml

At the knot you can view 1,000 of pictures of flowers, different color, different kinds, centerpeices, bouquets etc. I loved this site and it helped me alot thru my wedding, I really suggest this for you to help with ideas.

The only pool color flower I know of is blue hydrangeas. Most likely you will need to add another color for the flowers or you could do just white flowers in the vases with a lot of green fern. Since the wedding is about a month or so away, it could be difficult to get what you need if you dont have a florist but not impossible. Good luck!

  56. Mikina Baine Says:

My best friend is having a wedding on Jun 16, 2008 and her colors are pool white and silver we are having a very hard time coming up with recetion hall ideas and she not making it any easier being that she is not a lacy danty girl herself but for one day she wants to act like a elegant lady it’s hard time is running out please help oh yea she lovea the idea of the 24′ eiffel tower vases but we are havin a hard time fing pool flowers she love calla lillies and would love them t be pool also having a hard time finding them we live in DE not that many stores to choose from we have no choice but shop on line.

Jackie: Where did you buy the boxes and where did you have them printed?

  59. Jackie Says:

Hi Ladies. I am selling some boxes that I was going to use as favor boxes, unfortunately I had them printed with the wrong date. They can still be used if you place a nice label over the top of the box. Perhaps you can make labels with your own names on it. This is a great buy for any bride on a budget. Check out my auction on ebay. Item number: 300220488047

    cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=300220488047&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=020

Good luck with all the planning.

  60. kalondrea Says:

    Hey Girl!!!
I think that the color fushia, or yellow would go great with you Aqua blue theme… You could then go with your idea of various colors for the flowers, check out the pictures of flowers on theknot.com it will give you ideas. hope this helps.

  61. Heather Says:

    Hello,
My bridesmaids dresses and main color is an aqua blue called tropic. It is a few shades darker than the Tiffany blue. I am having a hard time choosing colors to go with it. I have contemplated yellow, pink, fushia, and peach. It’s a spring wedding so I thought about doing a bright mixture of wild flowers of all different colors. Is there any colors that definitely DO NOT go? Just curious what everyone thinks.
    Thank You

  62. Niece Says:

i decided to go with the tiffany blue and white with a little touch of red. my theme is ‘Love, a gift from above’ does anyone have ideas for centerpieces

  63. Martrell Says:

Ladies, my wedding is July 14, 2008 and I need HELP. I am currently stationed in Iraq and have been doing ALL of my planning from here. I have postponed this TWICE due to multiple deployments but this time it will happen no matter what.

My colors are tiffany blue, white and silver. I found the tiffany box centerpiece with flowers on several websites but have been unable to find the boxes. I have been searching on line for 3 weeks for the tiffany boxes for my centerpieces but I can not find them anywhere. I have been to a few of the websites (per previous comments) but I still can not find the 2 piece boxes. I have ordered aqua wrapping paper as an alternative please help!
Also, if you have any suggestions on what flowers would look best (color and type) that would be great. I will arrive home just in time for the wedding so I have to do everything online.

  64. Tyra Says:

ok..here’s the second guessing coming out..Do you think I should sit the actual bags up on the table..on the silver charger etc..cuz I don’t want it to take away from the awesome centerpieces..(mazanita branches w/ orchids..and calla lillies) So should they go on the table setting or on each chair..maybe on the seat or hanging on each chair. I have silver chivari chairs w/ a tiff blue satin sash..the pad is silver. My linen is the gunmetal grey w/ silver and tiff blue circles..the other tables just have solid platinum satin. I think the arrangments might end up tall enough to be seen over the bags but I don’t want to overwhelm the tables either. They won’t be up there the whole time..Geez I’m rambling it’s 12:30 and I’m not sleeping.

Also, i offer is awesome..I had a ebay fight the other day for my Jimmy Choo shoes..I won!! That bridezilla didn’t know who she was messing w/ Tiffany Brides don’t play around!

Today is 99 days so now I’m in double digits now.Yikes

  65. Dawn P. Says:

That’ll be great, those bags are going to look really substantial on the tables, you have to take pics! (I just saw pics of an OTT tiff blue wedding where each chair was set with a monster tiff-style gift box, bigger than the seat — maybe there was a free baby in each box?, but I disgress)

I would just maybe put some inexpensive shred or packing tissue in the bags so the 2×2 boxes ‘float’ near the top and people don’t have to fish for them down at the bottom, it’ll look stylish (I know, another thing to buy, right?) Maybe try papermart (link), they are very cheap for this stuff

It’s gonna be cool! I can’t wait to see because I don’t think I’ve seen place settings with the actual tiff bags yet.

  66. Tyra Says:

Hey Dawn, Do you think of these measurments…I can’t find a ruler! Each Bag measures 5″ front(side to side) x 3″ side(front to back) x 6″ high(bottom to top) Would that do ok for guest favors? I already have the fake blue boxes to go inside. I hope they work cuz I just bought 80 more for .50 each.

  67. Dawn P. Says:

Awesome Tyra! :)>- I know it’s frustrating to wait, but the prices are so good there, and the sellers mostly seem willing to deal. Plus, when I found you could get something ‘aftermarket’ like this NOT on ebay I was excited, cuz I’ve had a little trouble with ebay sellers lately.

Please let me know how you make out!

And anyone else buying actual tiff bags there, be SURE to check the dimensions because each listing is different and some of the bags are small (like for favors), others larger like for OOT bags and the size isn’t always front-and-center.

  68. Tyra Says:

    Dawn P. ,
Thanks for posting your comment about the actual Tiffany bags..I just put out a bid to buy enough to put each of my guests favors in and some for decor. I’m so excited. It stinks that you can’t just buy it now and you have to wait for the seller to post the shipping.

  69. kalondrea Says:

    Hey Ladies!!!
Im getting married sept 6th 2008 and my wedding colors are tiffany blue and red, Do anyone know if any good linen Co. That has table clothes in the color tiffany blue? :x

  70. Annie Says:

    thanks Tara.
Margaret, thanks for the information regarding the tall vases. I am using tall vases, but I want to learn how to do the arrangement, maybe i can go to the florist and see how she does it.

  71. Margaret Says:

    Annie,

I am using 24″ tall white eiffel tower vases with a round flower bouquet that slips in the top of the vase. This website was great and it was the cheapest place I could find for these vases. The company was so easy to work with and I belive the freight was $15.00 but i live in PA so it was more because this seller was in CA. They have all different sizes 18″, 20″, 28″, and it gives you a nice height off the table. We are putting some white sand in our vases to steady them a little on the tables.

Flowers & Supplies Glass Eiffel Vases

My florist is using one of those white bouquet holders with the streight holder piece to make the center piece. Then you just slip the flower in the top of the vase and it goes together perfectly. He made the centerpiece just like he would a bouquet. I may have pics on my camera from the trial centerpiece. I am using carnations, babies breath, and this feathery fern. I figured people will remember the vases and the colors but they wont really remember what flowers were used because they are so high up. You could easily use fake flowers for these type of center pieces and would be a great DIY project if you are really crafty.

  72. Tara Heisz Says:

    Annie -
i’m not sure what kind of centerpieces you are using but for us. I am using some tall vases with floral arrangements and the short vases on other tables with floral arrangement. But for the most part we are using fake and really flowers mixed.. it definitely cuts down on the price and still looks good..
    I hope this helps..
    Tara

  73. Annie Says:

I need help. I want to do my centerpieces tall with flowers, but it is costing me too much money. I NEED SOMEONE TO HELP ME HOW TO DO IT MYSELF. Anyone has any knowledge how to make a flower arrangement. Thank you

    Annie

  74. Tara Heisz Says:

    Hi Cherie
Try www.annsbridalbargains.com the invitations are really cheap, and if you pick an invite you like you can change any of the wording you want, any color you want. I got my invites for like 82 cents a piece, seeing i have a huge family

  75. Tara Heisz Says:

Hey all, I am getting married August 16, of this year.. I’m going with the tiffany blue color. Just wondering if anyone has any pictures they can email me..
I am really not sure how i wanna decorate with it all yet and i’m running out of time. So I found this website and hoping someone could help me. My email address is tara_heisz@uiuonline.org

    Thanks so much in advance

  76. Cherie Says:

I am PANICKING!!! My wedding is in exactly 2 months and I haven’t gottne invitations. My theme is Tiffany Blue and the other accent colors are silver and white. I wanted a pocket folder invitation but so many of them cost soooooo much. Please send all ideas. I won’t feel bad if they go out 6 weeks before because 90% of the people know when, where, and what time the wedding is. Please help.
Oh, I love Tiffany and Marshall’s wedding pics. Great ideas. I love your invitation…until you said that it took you 3 weeks to complete. HELP!!!!:((

  77. Dawn P. Says:

Meg, you can buy actual Tiffany shopping bags off Ioffer, this won’t be as cheap as some places but they go for as little as a dollar apiece, not bad — try here

  78. Tiffany L. C. Says:

    Hi MEG,

I’m not sure where you live but if you’re near Southern California I purchased my bags (you can see in my profile) for 10 cents each at the Fabric Barn in Long Beach, CA. Good luck!

  79. MEG Says:

We are looking for Tiffany blue gift bags to give guests staying at the hotel. There is one in the sample photo above on this site, but there isn’t any information on where to get them. Does anyone have a site with the tiffany blue gift bags. I’ve checked party zone and factory card outlet and target, and haven’t found the right color yet. Hallmark had one, but it was $1.99…hoping to spend less!! I’m enjoying everyones great ideas. Thanks for your help. MEG

  80. Kisha Says:

Thanks Blake that’s a great start.

  81. Blake@FavorIdeas Says:

Kisha, lucky you, there’s tons of inspiration out there for red & aqua! Here’s a sampler to get you started!

    red & aqua weddings

Top to bottom, L to R: 1) A small but sweet inspiration board by Tastefully Entertaining: a really crisp Martha look (which leans heavily on Queen Marth herself). 2) Another small but intriguing board that builds elements around a GORGEOUS! Asian invitation. At Velvet Rabbit Studios. 3 & 4) Last two pics, from a chic & beachy "vintage Mexican" board by the always-readworthy Snippet & Ink.

Row two: 1) modern paisly invite by Wedding Paper Divas. 2) "My Red & Aqua Girlie Gathering" by Mrs. Gardenia .. great pics of her bridal luncheon. 3) Unmissable compilation of red/aqua ideas by Mrs. Lime, who had a red & aqua wedding. Even better, see Mrs. Lime’s real-world results starting here. 4) Gorgeous pic of a red/aqua ceremony from TheNest.

Row three: This whole row is from Thryn & Gabe’s aqua, red & chocolate brown wedding, on flickr. The details and photography that captured them are unbelievable.

In my opinion choc brown is a great grounding color for red & aqua, but my personal favorite and very 2008 would be steel gray!

Hope that helps, post any other cool ideas you find! :)>-

  82. Dawn P. Says:

Jamie, that is so easy and the results will look GREAT. Once you find your boxes, just decorate to taste (with any ribbons, rhinestone buckles, etc.), and line with a waterproof plastic. Use double-sided tape to attach the lining securely to the box and snip off the lining just below the box rims, once you have it all arranged.

Then cut a square of floral foam just a little smaller than the box. You want “Oasis” foam which you can get at any craft store, and you need to presoak it; this lets you keep your roses fresh for much longer than going bare.

Place the foam in the box, strip your roses of thorns and leaves and cut the stems off to about 2 or 3″ (depending on the depth of your foam). After you do the first one the process will be a snap, and look fantastic. Try to get a tiny bit of variety in those roses, too; e.g. if you’re going with basically white roses, work in a little cream or some lightly blushed roses to add depth to the look.

  83. Bee Says:

    Jamie,
I found boxes @ The Container Store and @ uline.com…they are less expensive at uline, but you have to buy them in bulk, about 50/set

  84. Kisha Says:

We have decided on Tiffany blue and red for our vow renewal. Does anyone have any ideas or pics?

  85. jamie Says:

I am throwing my friend a Tiffany’s & Co inspired bridal shower and would like the centerpieces to be flowers in a tiffany’s colored boxed but i cant seem to find any bigger boxes! Does anyone know where i can find some. Also if i want to use real flowers how would i put them in the box????

  86. Niece Says:

    hello ladies
im getting married august 2009. i decided to go with the tiffany blue color and found this forum to be so helpful. i having a hard time figuring out my table setup at the reception. my table cloth are white. my vender is tryin get tiffany blue napkins. but i think i want the centerpieces to be the stackable tiffany boxes on some tables, but not all. and i don’t know what to put on the other table. can some one help me

  87. tasha2009 Says:

i would have her come down before the flower girls if your flower girls are going to be throwing petals so that way you will be the first on the petals as it goes and i think she will be fine try it at rehearsals and have a backup plan just in case like you said have your mom walk with her or have her walk close to the flower girls that way she will feel comfortable walking down the aisle just a thought!!!

  88. April J Says:

    Tasha,
I love the idea of having my daughter carry a bible, she will be 26 months at the time so i just hope she can do it alone,or maybe i can have my mom escort her. Should i have her come down the isle after the flower girls, right before i enter?:-?

  89. tasha2009 Says:

april j - i dont know what the religion beliefs are but i have heard and seen where there has been a bible carrier also in the wedding just a small enough bible for the 2 year old to carry and my wedding colors are aqua and canary my flower girls are wearing white dress with aqua trim from davids bridal and my bridesmaids are wearing pool and canary with mixed yellow and baby blue bouquets made of silk flowers because of my budget

  90. Samantha Says:

    April,

I saw a young child participating in a wedding. Once of the family members/bridal party had the child in a waggon and as they walked sown the islae they pulled the wagon with the child in it. The wedding was outdoores so it actualy looked very cute!

I don’t know if this is what you are asking but if so, then that is a possibility.

  91. LUCY Says:

Oops meant the vase was white china but maybe a silver one will be nice, although i thought of a clear square..ok im really confused! ARGHHHH lol[-(

  92. LUCY Says:

I thought this table setting was nice too the vase is silver but the roses are all white i dont know if i should mix the roses like a white and pink rose?? dunno ..any opinion ladies???

  93. Teah Says:

I’m going with DB style pool colored dresses for my bridesmaids but instead of the crisp white or black or silver I’m p[airing them with big bright bouquets of gerbera daisies in assorted colors. It’s a late May wedding so I wanted lots of color. The linens and everything else will be white I guess. The dresses and flowers pack enough punch on their own. Also, my centerpieces are going to be simple glasses vases filled with daisies (and maybe some white roses) and simple little tealights scattered around them.

  94. LUCY Says:

    Tyra & LScott08,

Thank you for the helpful info fon table decor… I think im going to go with the Tiffany clue chair covers and white sach.. and square glass vase with white roses and pink roses and peach roses every table will have a different color.. and clear voltives..and diamond shape crystal spread all over..might do the tiffany blue light on the vase?? just dont wanna over do the color??? :-":-?

  95. Andrea Says:

Okay so i am having a big problem picking flowers for my wedding. It is Aug. 30. My colors are brown, tiffany Blue, ivory. I know i want ivory calla lillies but i also want more color. The girls dresses are brown with tiffany blue ribbon and i have an Off white dress.

  96. April J Says:

My bridesmaids are wearing aqua blue with peach bouquets.

  97. Jill's mom Says:

    HOLLY -
My daughter’s wedding is June 20th and she also is using pool with black/silver/white. I am making table runners that are black with quarter-sized tiffany blue polkadots. I found the fabric at Hancock fabrics. I will have probably 22 of them available after her wedding if you’re interested in them…. We’re putting them on top of a white cloth using a round mirror under a set of 3 cylinders with white round floating candles with aqua colored stones in the bottom of each (polka dot theme, can you tell?)

  98. lscott08 Says:

    LUCY,

For our table(s) the linen will include a tiffany blue table cloth, shimmering white chair cover(s) & tiffany blue organza bows tied around the back of the chair(s). The center pieces will be 16′’ roung mirrors will a small square glass vase filled with white tea & spray roses (our florist is lining the inside of the vase(s) with green leaves from the rose(s) stems so that you do not see the inside of the vase(s)). Then we are placing 5 small votive candles around the center pieces.

  99. LaKeisha Says:

    Jennifer,

My sister stumbled across them at the Dollar Tree store. I will have to post pictures as soon as I locate my USB cord.

  100. Jennifer Says:

    Lakiesha,

Where did you find your candleholders at?

  101. Andrea Says:

Does any one know what i should put inside these. These are my centerpieces that i am doing for my wedding. I have 3 floating candles: brown, ivory and turquoise. And i am not sure what i want on the inside or if i need something surronding them? Thanks for the help

  102. Margaret Says:

    Kirston,

Db is a big store chain, I would do to their website and find a store near you. They have a lot of “pool” color dresses in the store you can buy in all sizes, if you cant find it in that store they do look for it on the shelf in other stores for a transfer if you need. DB is great to work with. My BM’s bought their dresses there in Pool and they ordered 1 weekend and all the dresses were in the next weekend. I think you can now order of the website now so I would defently check it out.

Hello Tyra unfortunately I am in Houston, TX. I found someone here who can make them. I sent them the picture and she said she will be able to decorate them for me. Thanks for your help.

  104. Blake@FavorIdeas Says:

Hi Lucy and everyone else, if you’re having trouble uploading a particular image, just send it to me (email blake@favorideas.com) and I’ll put it in your post. Some file formats don’t upload right, like BMP, so if your image isn’t working, that might be the problem. GIF, JPG and PNG should work great!

  105. Tyra Says:

    Hi Lucy,

I have 2 different centerpieces. The first style is a manzanita branch that I weighted in a sqare silver planter my florist is wiring cream and hot pink orchids to the branches then I’m adding hanging votive holders w/ Tiffany blue water? (I hope) w/ a floating candle. The second arrangement is a 24″ fluted trumpet vase with bear grass and cream orchid submerged in the vase filled w/ water. I ordered submersible aqua lights to make the vase glow Tiffany! Out of the top of the vase will be bear grass and cream calla lillies sprouting out of the top. I’ll try to attach my linen swatch for you to see. I don’t know how well the swatch will show up but it’s gunmetal grey/silver w/ stiched teal circles and silver circles. I’m doing the arrangements half and half on the guests tables..the other tables will be solid platinum w/ a sheer organza silver overlay.

  114. Annie Says:

Tasha, I want to wear a floor length dress with some silver or crystal in the front of the dress because it is my 25th anniversary. What do you think white is okay? My two daughters are my bridemaids and they are wearing short tiffany blue dress. I am planing to have an outdoor ceremony. I want my reception with silver linens and silver chair sashes with three different sizes of vases with different kind of pink. In my cocktail hour I want tiffany blue linens with some pink accents . I am having a different centerpiece for the cocktail hour tables. I am going to order my cake in tiffany blue the square type with a beautiful silver (with stones) linen. I saw it at BBJlinens. What are you doing for decoration and color.

  115. tasha2009 Says:

Annie i have seen so many dresses that i love - the bridemaids dresses and tuxedos are coming from davids bridal so i was looking at bridal gowns from there but i also saw one from alfred angelo that i like and i have not decided on short or long thinking of maybe just floor length because it is outside and i dont want to mess the bottom of the gown what are u going to do

  116. Tyra Says:

Lucy, Here is a pic of my STD…I incorporated the Tiffany Box w/ our names and I added a pic of my E-ring into the picture. I made it in photoshop and sent it Vista print and made magnets. They were a big hit!

  117. April J Says:

Hi everyone! My husband and i got married at a courthouse and decided on our fith anniversary we wwould renew our vows, which will be february 27th 2009. 118. lscott08 Says:

These are some of the things that we have incoperated into out Tiffany Blue & White July 28th, 2008 wedding

  119. LaKeisha Says:

Hi Abby I have also thought about trying to find an orange table runner to separte the colors. I think that would really make the blue pop.

I also love the cake picture that is attached. I was thinking instead of brown stripes to use blue.

I came across this arrangement this weekend as well. I think my thing is that I need to just stop looking. Sept. will be here quicker than I know it.

  120. Abby Says:

    Hi LaKeisha -

You sound like you have some really great ideas. Your blue and white striped candle holders sound like they will make a nice accent on your table. Since you are trying to incorporate the peach color - why don’t you try to find a light peach colored candle to go in the candle holder. You said you are using aqua linen - so I think this will contrast very nicely. Just some thoughts…

  121. Annie Says:

    Tasha,
thank you for the information….I doing the same thing from the beginning to the end. I am very excited. Are you wearing a long dress or short…also what color do you have in mind.

    Rachel,

you can find the tiffany blue chair sashes and table linen at BBJlines.com
    Good luck.

  122. Ronda Says:

    Hey everyone,
I’ve just recently started to plan my wedding and I have also decided on the Tiffany Blue & Chocolate for my colors. Any suggestions or centerpiece ideas would be a big help!!

  123. Rachel Malster Says:

    Hi there,
Can anybody suggest where I can buy the aqua blue chair sashes and table linen?
    Mnay thanks

  124. Tyra Says:

Elizabeth & Monique- The lady doing my cake is Clara w/ Clara’s Designer Cakes in Maryland. A lot of other bakers wouldn’t even try it..one lady said she would do it for $15 a serving..no way I was paying that. I ended up ordering 80 servings..not everyone eats cake there are 72 individual boxes and then the 6×6 at the top for the bridal party. Everyone told me the idea w/ too labor intensive but I wouldn’t give up. I searched for pictures of mini Tiffany box cakes and then I randomly came upon that picture I don’t remember what site it came from only that it was from the uk.

  125. Blake@FavorIdeas Says:

    Hi LaKeisha,
just to drive you even crazier (okay, hope not), I think your peach & aqua idea are unbeatable together, and of course I keep thinking of that Brides.com photo we’ve all seen a million times that combine them, with aqua linens and a semi-transparent peach overlay, with a final result to die for.

Now, I know that those are top-of-the-line linens that you can’t always order up at your local event rental place, but IF you could find them, or someone kind enough to sew together some simple overlays or table runners along those lines, I’m confident it would look STUNNING under your aqua candles.

  126. ArmyWife Says:

I found wrapping paper at target… so instead of buying a huge roll… it can be found there

  127. tasha2009 Says:

i will post pictures but my wedding annivesary is not until July 9, 09 and we are going to have the ceremony just like a wedding from beginning to the end. I like the idea of having your son walk with you… the wording for the ceremony is something i will have to talk with my pastor abt…

  128. Tina Says:

If your candle holders are aqua and white, I would use yellow candles. I would place a mirror between the linens and candle holder. to break the color up If you want to break up the blue, accent your table with some square votive holder (dollar store) and slice real lemons (round) and place around the inside edge (all 4 sides) and place a white votive inside. This will give some contrast. You can also through some yellow petals on the table with diamond accent stones.

  129. Margaret Says:

    LaKeisha,

I think both ideas sound great. If you want to go with your first idea, I would maybe add a peach or orange ribbon around the candleholders, to provide a a small spash of accent color contrast between the candle sticks and the aqua linen. I would probably not use a peach linen since aqua is your main color.

The floating flowers sound great as well. Good luck!

  130. LaKeisha Says:

Someone please save me from myself.

I have so many ideas going thread and I can’t make up my mind. My wedding colors are aqua and white. I was thinking of using orange or peach as an accent. My dilemma is I already purchased candleholders that are aqua blue and white striped. how do you think they will look on the aqua linen ( I don;t think it will pop) so I thought about using peach for the linen color and then incorporate some organge rose petals. But does that take away from the main wedding color which was aqua.

my second idea was to use the blue linen and then purchase glass bowls and fill with an orange or peach floating flower and surrond the bowl with white votive candles.

I am going to drive the fiance crazy with my ideas. LOL.
