The Garden Theme for Weddings
The garden theme is a great summer concept for any bride.
There are two types of bridal looks for this wedding. The first is really simple: a tea length dress, and a small silk hat with an attached veil. You could decorate the hat with a small silk or fresh rose.
For a more traditional look, consider the A-line gown. Try to find
a silver choker that resembles tiny roses. A fingertip veil completes
this more traditional fashion look.
As for flowers, there are many ways to incorporate a garden theme. Use a dried flower at the top of your wedding invitation, and two oversize pots filled with ivy and roses to decorate the entrance at your ceremony.
Ivy, baby's breath, and roses are great for the bridal bouquet as well, not to mention the bridesmaids' bouqets.
On the honor tables, heap roses at the base of simple flower pots. Then plant ivy, baby's breath, and tea roses inside the pot. For the guest tables, use simple pillar candles with ivy wound around the base and a few rose petals on the tables. Around the candles, try mini glass pots with a tea rose inside each pot. Place your wedding cake on a bed of baby's breath and ivy.
The wedding cake is the centerpiece for any wedding event. Have
the baker create a three-tier garden with grass, baby's breath,
and roses made from marzipan and sugared flowers on a fondant base.
On top of the cake, arrange fresh roses in a small garden pail.

Hi, this is the best site I have come across on weddings. Great job. I have been living with my partner for 8 years and we would like to formalize in the course of this year, something really small (15-20pax) intimate and cheap but outstanding. Wedding planners in Kenya are expensive and as this is my event, I would really like to do every thing myself. I hope to have a garden wedding, afternoon to late afternoon cocktail, do you have any suggestions on what to wear, decor, we possibly wont have any brides maids or groomsmen but we would like to involve our 4 year old daughter. Would you please give me some tips?

yes!! i have a great wedding website that would help. google image english garden wedding and garden wedding. i think the cocktail wedding is a plus. keep it simple. make sure you pick elegant colors in no more than 1 or 2 colors how about rose color and ivory? or a simple classic brown and ivory or white add pale pink to the mix and youve got an upscale party. add rhinestones here and there not to much though. just enough to make it even more upscale.

think ribbons with jewels on them strategically placed. wrapped around a bouquet of ivory classic roses, only a few touches are needed for outdoors so pale pink and ivory roses intertwined with jewels would be enchanting and cheap! walmart or hobby lobby sells rhinestone garlands by the yard. blue mixed in the rhinestones would give off amazing impact for mere $$ with the something blue also!!this would be intimate cheap and outstanding, make sure you use lots of greenery!! it makes it more lush!!
google image outdoor upscale wedding and upscale garden wedding. you wear a floaty chic dress with great shoes and put him in a suit, or beach wear style attire. like a white shirt made to untuck and black or khaki pants. put the little girl in whatever solid color you choose with a halo of roses around her head.
