A Pale Pink & Champagne Springtime Wedding
Looking for a wedding palette that's romantic yet classic, sweet yet dignified, that couldn't be a better fit for early spring? Pale
pink and champagne make for a gorgeous start.
To begin with, champagne's inherently romantic. It's the color of times-gone-by, when fabrics were made of natural fibers and woven by hand.
Plus, it blends so perfectly with pink, you can knock these two together fearlessly (for example, your reception will look beautifully coordinated even if you choose pink for some of your table runners or chair sashes, and champagne for the others.)
In short: combine them, and you've got color alchemy that captures that fleeting season we barely have time to savor before the flower buds fall to the ground, the trees lose their baby shade of green, and the fairy quality of spring light on morning grass fades into summer's more no-nonsense rays.

Getting the Look
Pink and champagne together aren't just about spring, though. They're also a little bit French, and a little antique. So bring an even more romantic vision to your springtime wedding by donning a slightly vintage wedding gown with detailed lacework, a sweet scalloped neckline, and a gorgeous button-back closure. Bridesmaids in champagne will look elegant (yet not at all stuffy) in sashes of rich gold satin, holding romantic hand-tied bouquets of cream and pale pink roses.
Then, echo your gown's lacy details with beautiful damask table linens in neutral tones. But avoid an overly formal look by topping off your tables with exuberant garden flowers: tea or spray roses tossed together with billowing pink peonies, delicate ranunculus and ivory hydrangeas.
A detailed white-on-white cake covered in scrollwork also mirrors your dress, especially when set on a classic silver cake plateau and topped with a profusion of spring flowers. A dab of chartreuse in the form of green roses, or a few scattered orchids, adds an almost heartbreakingly lovely third dimension to a palette that can otherwise be too sedate.

Designing a Place in Time
Once again, this look combines the finery of times gone by with the natural, unfussy sweetness of a backyard garden in spring. So to create a beautiful balance against the cottage look of your flowers and the sweetness of your gown, you'll want to use the most classic of table decor: cut-crystal style champagne flutes, fanned linen napkins, gold rimmed chargers ... even gold chivari chairs.
Finally, remind your guests that appreciating spring in full means lingering over the delicate aromas of the moment. Tempt their palates with lighter-than-air morsels served in miniature, such as trays of lemony marscapone cream puffs, petit fours, or mini-cupcakes topped in butter frosting of champagne, pink and pale green.
Lure them further with fettucini spiked with tender baby vegetables, roasted white asparagus, tea sandwiches, mini quiches, and salads with fresh baby field greens and a lemon-dill dressing. As for the toasting and dinner wine, serve the closest thing to spring in a bottle: flutes of crisp bubbly, or our personal favorite — Prosecco.

hi!!!im getting married in may or early june next year and im planning it to be a beach one but im really having a hard time with the theme clolour.. im thinking of pink and champagne or pastel colors but i dont know exactly if it will look great in the beach and on sunset..do you have any suggestion please…thank you so much
Gretch,
I think pink and champagne are actually perfect for a beach wedding and a beach sunset. The sunset already has those colors so it is ideal. I have seen many pics of beach weddings and the ones with blue or pink always look gorgeous.
* you will love the ideas here
im getting maried in november next year but im stressed out already thinkng about colours my husband to be wants to wear a grey suit but what colour do u use to go with that and what does my bridesmaids where please help!!!
Nadia,
What type of wedding will your wedding be? Also what about your venue colors? I can look and see some colors there.
Grey is very versatile and very nice for any wedding. I love it. What are some colors you like? grey and cranberry is super nice!
thanx stacey for getting back to me.while i am having a traditional wedding in a hall something small the colours i was thinking about for the wedding was cream, gold and choc brown maybe and the grey but yet again im basically clueless so ya i need help!! i found a few pics online to show u what i had in mind
Nadia,
What colors is your venue?
What colors do you like?
Brown and grey can work but it can take a bit of work to get the look “just” right. I love grey and brown! it does look good together but if not done right it can look extremely drab, for such a happy day.
i like the colour pink, turques, purple and olive the venue doesnt have any colour i have to think of a colour that wil match the wedding and go from there

* real wedding
* here is all the colors you mentioned you loved with the grey. this one is a beach theme but the florals and linens would be great.
Nadia,
I was going to use for my wedding Silver/Gray and Lavendar/Purple. But i figured since i am having a SPRING wedding it was too dark. But since you are having yours in Nov. I think those colors would look great. Use silver to compliment the Grey suit your sweets wants to wear… it will look VERY elegant!
i think purple and silver go very nice together. Or even silver and a dark shade of blue.
let me know what you decide!
My wedding is in June and so far I have decided on pink and champagne as my colors but I would really like to have another accent color but I just cant figure out what. I need something that kind of goes along with my venue so I have attached a photo hope yall can help.
Thanks
Katey,
Your in luck. With such a neutral backdrop you can choose pretty much what you want. I was thinking keep it pink and chamapgne just pull in different shades of pink in the florals. Another color you coudl do is red. Not a bright red, a romantic red. This venue is absolutely beautiful. Have you thought about a shade of pale orange like apricot or even peach?

Katey,
*This site has lots of visuals with venues similar to yours.
I am getting married June 18th and as of right now I am thinking of the colors pink and champagne, but I would like a color to pair with those two that goes with the venue we are getting married at. I attached a picture of the venue. I hope someone can help, I’m pretty much lost.
Thanks
Katey

we are getting married at a winery in a big red barn, the inside is done in white lights arounds the wooden pillars. but i am having trouble deciding on a color palet. I was thinking of going with the dark pink and lime green…but would this clash with the barn? should i just go white and red and keep it simple? please help!!!!
I think this is your wedding and you should do whatever colors that make you feel beautiful! If you go with the barn colors just because, well, its the barn colors, you may look back and be disappointed. Outside may be red, but as long as youre creating a different environment inside, I say go for it girl!
I’m really liking the mint and dark vibrant pink.. Im having trouble seeing a real accent for the colors tho and I’m not good with flowers so i have no idea how that would work with those colors.. another option we liked a lot is deep brown and baby blue but again accents and flowers are lost on me.. and i don’t want it too look dull and boring can you please help me
mikky, with either color scheme it is enough to stand on its own. i wouldnt add another color. the only other color you need it white especially with the mint green/pink combo. if you want another color why not choose the brown/blue and add accents of green. it looks fantastic together!!
with the mint green and pink just add a lighter pink.

My wedding is June of 2010 and I was thinking of the colors Cranberry and Champange. I’m looking for some ideas on centerpieces and ideas for the groom and groomsmen they will not be wearing tuxs. We are both from Florida and I wanted to intertwine that some how. Please help.
sandra,

Stacey,

if you get a chance, I am having the worst time choosing my color scheme or at least putting it together…this is what I’m thinking…royal, spain, romantic, antique, ballroom…the venue is a ballroom that is very gold…I looked into the aqua/red/black thing being very spanish, however it would not go…so what I love is gold, navy/blues, red/pink, yellow, silver, black…how do I make any of this work or which of it should I do together?…I have been contemplating for months and cannot come up with it… I plan on my wedding being very formal, yet I love children wearing old school sailor suits…can you help me??? I think you are the only person who truly can
Raquel,
i noticed what you picked first. i am thinking you love the red and black above all? yes this is very spanish not to mention sooo romantic!! i think what you are seeking is old world spanish. depending on where spanish brides lived some preferred pink and white and others white flowers. my inspiration would hands down be black wrought iron candleabras with red roses like the decor in this:
* Spanish Style Wedding! ( this is sooo beautiful, i LOVE the wrought iron candelabras outdoors) if you want to add xtra romance you could have blush pink or pale creamy yellow roses intertwined with the red. though i do think all red/ black and have champagne linens ( even in the all gold ballroom) with the black ( which spanish brides wore traditionally and it will pull in the black in a more today way) i would have guys and girls in black. it will be formal and black is a fail proof color for a formal wedding.
*Ceci New York’s Own Wedding Invitations ( these invites are gorgeous and perfect for the spanish influence)
i have some pics showing pink with the red that looks spanish influenced. i posted a fall theme cake to show you the red and yellow with the wrought iron ( minus the fall leaves) let me know if this is the direction you wan to go. if not, let me know which colors youd like to try next. i dont know about the blue unless it is a rich dark blue. i am trying to visualize it and although it would be beautiful i think it might look more classical mozart style era than spanish.
with the colors i have posted you will be able to use black red yellow or pink ( you already have the gold ( ballroom) and you can pull in silver with the utensils unless you were gonna get gold. if you can try to get a gold/silver silverware. it would bring in more of the silver if your wanting that, also the other metal accents such as jewelry. you said you wanted the children wearing old school sailor suits? i thought the knickers would look so great!! here is a link ( they have live chat)
*boy’s satin knicker ring bearer suit
cant wait to hear from you!!
raquel,
pics didnt post gonna retry….
raquel, last one….
Stacey, Thank you so much!!! I love those invitations and I just spent an hour on the formal children’s clothing website, that is perfect… I also absolutely LOVE the wrought iron centerpieces with candles and roses…very beautiful. Now I am reconsidering black…I do like the idea of it with the red and gold. The only other thing I was thinking is incorporating blue. I was thinking of the recent royal wedding in Spain of princess Letizia Ortiz to Prince Felipe…he wore the navy military uniform with a light blue sash and gold embellishments…she actually has gold and silver in her dress I believe…I love the Spanish royal family crest maybe more so than flamenco-type things…could I get away with these blues yet with the gold ballroom with red roses like above? Would it be better/possible to incorporate pinks? You are so good at this!!!
Thanks!
Raquel
Raquel,
i just looked at the wedding that was really pretty. which colors are youwanting to go with the most? after looking at the wedding i am betting the ballroom was done in golds, green and white with touches of blue.
are you wanting to recreate their wedding with your own touches? i think that would be amazing!! for starters what color do you prefer your bridal party to wear? the guys? i am gonna reserach their wedding a bit more theni am gonna start with the board and links after i hear from you. one vital piece of info….what color is the carpet in the ballroom?
raquel,
check this out! i cant believe i found this! the reception flowers are blue and white!! :wow: so red wasnt a major part of this wedding her colors are blue white and gold. red was only in touches. you could do this and have the bridal party in red. the main cathedral where they married was done in simple white and green flowers. blue is traditionally and historically the main wedding color ever, since medieval times especiallyin royals. a GREAT way to tie in red is rent a red carpet it will be so completely royal!! if $$$ is no object rent the ropes to go with it!!
*another pic ( scroll down to see a good pic of the flowers)

raquel,
almost 4got! here is their very unique cake….
Stacey,
thanks so much, I love the ideas and I am so excited! The carpet in our ballroom is actually a gold pattern with brown and plum…sounds strange but it is an elegant neutral…for the girls, I’m thinking red, gold or navy blue dresses…maybe like a vera wang two toned navy and white? For the guys I want to do traditional cutaway jackets and ascots…I’m not sure on the colors of each part exactly…I’ve really been brain storming and with your help I feel very confident in pulling off the gold, navy and blues with some red =) Thanks for all your help and if you find anymore ideas please post them…I can use all the help!
Raquel,
i have a wedding for you to look at. it is so fitting with what you want as far as style.

my wedding is in 2011 but i havent started planning. when do you think is a good time to start planning? someone please help!!!!
For booking your venue as soon as you can. When I got married in 2008 lots of venues were booked on a Saturday in 2010. If you want a good venue and a weekend, now.
I’m getting married May of 2010. I haven’t picked out any colors! I need help. Purple is my favorite color but purple is not a spring color. If i had to chose another it would be blue? Can someone please help?
courtney,
can you tell me a little about your wedding vision, venue, and colors you like/dislike? that way i will know how to find something perfect for your day!! looking forward to your reply!
courtney, almost 4got! purple is actually perfect for a spring wedding. for ideas:
google image purple wedding board then lilac wedding board also try lavender wedding board.
*spring wedding
oh yeah- you can take the google image searches i suggested and put in the word spring. example: lavender spring wedding. it will pull up other results. yes! you can have purple!!
Hi Courtney
I would stay away from purple if possible. Especially if you are getting married in a Church. Puple is associated with Easter and Death. It is fine if you are marrying dracular as coffins are usually lined with puple cloth. Puple is way to dark. Baby blue or lilac are much better.
I am getting married in Sept 2010, I like the colour pink as my theme colour, dont know which other colours to combine pink with, any suggestions?
Zama, there are many beautiful colors that go with pink. it really depends on the mood your trying to set. i love champagne pink with creamy mocha brown, add ivory or white flowers and instant dreaminess!! google image pink wedding board (for starters). also pink and black is very classy. or pair pink with sage and you have a great color scheme to fit in most themes and seasons. then add a color to the color search you are thinking about. for example, if you do like the idea of brown just google image pink and brown wedding board. or try for different results by putting in pink and brown wedding. hope this helps!! let me know what you come up with and go from there. also write down the colors you like and the ones you dont. get your fh in on this and narrow down colors. when you do, you will see ideas abound!! what shade of pink are you looking at? also what type of wedding do you envision? is it formal or informal? does it have a theme? look forward to hearing from you again!!
Zama, almost 4got! you really dont have to pair pink with anything to get a great result! just put guys in traditional black tuxes or suits, have girls in pink( or many shades of pink to suit each skintone) or put them in classic black then add pink flowers. then in reception just have a simple white linen with pink centerpieces(not adding any more black, since it wont be a “part” of your color scheme). if you want more fall in this add some fall leaves into the mix with some natural items found with the fall season.
zama, here is a beautiful pic.
Hi there!!! I love black and pink or brown and pink. Both of those look really nice with one another. You could also go on the lighter side and do a cream. Whatever you pick will look really nice. Have a wonderful wedding.
i need to know what a good color for spring that would go with pink
there are lots of colors that could go with pink from a multi color scheme to a single hue.
MS: Spring Wedding Themes: Pretty Pastels (this is so happy and springlike, i love it) you could do this and put the girls in a mint to medium green, the flower colors (dahlias, which are amazing!! as well as easy on the budget cause their large head flowers make such impact you dont need many! which is a plus!) would look sooo nice against the green. plus green which is a renewing color and springtime is renewed growth from winter its the perfect compliment. you could put this together so easy without stressing!! you could also go even simpler. by using different shades of pink and be done!! smile! its so easy. put girls in dark or light pink, and add a mix shades of pink. for a nice touch just have a green sash around the dresses. or another color that you like.

I am a family member attending an April 29th evening wedding and reception immediately following, I was thinking of purchasing an Ivory linen suit, Jacket has long sleeves and the skirt is 3/4 length. Would the color and the suit be appropriate to wear?
I am getting married in August. I have a champagne dress, and gold tiara, h2b has a champagne waistcoat and gold cravat. Bridemaid, best man etc have a caramel colour dress, waistcoat. Flowers are going to be pale pink. I am wearing pearls. Think I am nearly there now. Took some thinking !
I think you are there! Sounds beautiful!
my wedding is coming up August 2008. Am having problem with the colour to use .
if you are making a boutnier for the groom and he is wearing a ivory shirt what color of flower would he wear, the bride is carrying ivory roses and wearing a ivory blouse and black skirt.
My wedding is early May 2009. My colors are pale pink and champagne. I’m having trouble with centerpieces and flowers. Champagne flowers always end up looking kind of peachy, which I definitely don’t want. any suggestions? Is there a certain type of flower that comes in true champagne?
I had a country style champagne rose and pale pink orchids. With light greenery.
My wedding is next year, September 19th. That’s because we have family throughout the U.S. and it is hard trying to get them together (Now, they have plenty of time to plan). However, my colors are ivory, champagne, and latte. I’m having a hard time deciding whether to put the guys in ivory suits or black w/ champagne waistcoats. Any suggestions?
as of today (because of a mistake at the wedding shop) i am now having a champagne coloured wedding dress instead of ivory long story but my bridesmaids are a peachy pink (had obviously already bought a while back so cant change) my men were in alck suits with ivory waistcoats and cravats but now i will probably change them to champagne hope it will go its all sort of changed suddenly without notice but it was like have champagne or find a new dress which i couldnt do nothing else would feel right !
My wedding is going to be June 15th 08 i really want to use turquoise and chocolate brown as my wedding theme. i really dont know how to use the colours on what to use the colours. any ideas?
My wedding date is July 5, 2008 and my color them is ivory, champaine with a splash of chocolate. The girls will all have different style dresses but all champaine w/splashes of chocolate. The guys are wearing chocalete suits w/ivory shirts and champaine tie/vest/hankerchiefs. My fiance will have on all ivory with champaine tie/vest/hanky while I have on ivory dress w/champaine trimming. Lauren had mentioned ivory was for the fall and silly enough it does make sense to me to were I’m considering changing my colors. Thanks Lauren.
My wedding date is February 23, 2008.
I’m going with the champayne/brown/pink theme.
My dress is actually champayne and its absolutley beautiful.
The bridesmaids dresses are chocolate. They are going to have different shades of pink flowers, some green.
I’m planning to get married in February of ’09 and i have a tough time deciding what to match gold or champagne with. Any tips?
I think very light pink, the antique look. I loved it for my wedding.
I’ve decided to go with an ivory/off white dress, and a very white cake with champagne lace work and pink accents and bow.
I love the colours and its so easy to find things to coordinate.
Look on the ‘paris’ wedding on here, that gave me some great ideas too as it is very similar. I am going to add slight hints of lime green in the floral arrangements.
I like the idea of the romance of a pale pink and champagne wedding. Most of the things I have come across are in pale pink/baby pink. I like the idea of champagne bridesmaid dresses with gold sashes. Should I incorporate the gold anywhere else in the ceremony. Should I just have pink in the flowers at the ceremony? Have you an idea or few for the wedding cake? Love pearls so would like to have these all over.
Also, what colour should the bridal gown be? Ivory?
I also love this idea. I am getting married in April and I am going to get a whtie wedding dress. I had considered Ivory however, I think Ivory is better in the Fall.
anyone order from them?how’s the quality
